Keep prerequisites when saving as template or copy and paste
Sometimes a task is just a set of subtasks that must be done in sequence. So prerequisites allow me to know which subtask should I do now and when I've done it, which subtask is next. When I want to do tasks with the same sequence, I try to copy and paste and just change the name of the task. However the prerequisites are not kept, neither by copy and paste nor as templates.

Any action on this? This is still the only reason why I'm not using TaskCoach. Too bad that it is idle for over 3 years!!

That is the only feature I am missing in Task Coach.

I really agree with that. I have multilevel tasks and made templates from some of them, but when I use those templates, I must set all prerequisites again and again so this makes those templates unhelpful some how.

Note: users who support this might also want to vote for this request:

I definitely support this.
I also want to add: I have sort of workaround (not if you need multiple copies at once, but if you just need to re-do the same task with variations or not):
You can have a task with prerequisites, when you need to re-do it, you can select all the tasks and mark them incomplete and planned. Having the planned date will make doable ones (i.e. the first step) marked as late, and will make each next step show up as late when the previous step is complete. The whole process can be redone any number of times, you'll just lose the history of having separate tasks as in prerequisites.

I was about to make the same suggestion. Good thing I checked first :-) Currently, this is a show-stopper for me.

Just started with Task Coach yesterday and this was the first issue I had. For certain tasks I want a set, controlled, heirarchy. Having to reset the prerequisites when I load the template is inconvenient to say the least. Not sure I'd want the time lines fixed though. Whilst the sequence of a task may be fixed the timelines can often be variable.

Yes, I support this. A saved template should be the entire composite task with time and sequence relationships so that as soon as one enters a due date, all other dates are filled in accordingly.
