Filter tasks and efforts by date range
A date-range filter would choose a start and end date for the filter range, and then choose which date (planned start, actual start, due date, completion date) to filter. For example, I could apply a filter to hide those tasks completed before a given day - ideal for my monthly report. For efforts, it would just show the ones that occurred between the filter dates.

During weekly review, I look at tasks completed in the last week to see if I need to create new follow-up actions, and look at tasks that are either due or to be started in the next week. I typically apply three different categories to each of these selections, producing six different views that I want to see. Currently there's no way to apply the appropriate relative date ranges. Sorting of a larger set of tasks is necessary instead, which works but is rather inelegant.

Side comment:
To be most effective, there should be a setting option also so that that calculated info like "time spent" per task is restricted by this date range also. But that needs to be adjustable on and off. -

I think this also should have a relative date range, such as "show only tasks planned in the next 20 days" — and this would keep a 20-day filter that would update each day.
