Okay, though this was not very high on my own priority list, it seems pretty popular. Since it involves heavy changes, I’m planning that for version 2.0, which will come out in two to three months if all goes well.

There is an inconsistency in the UI as it is now. Maybe solving that will help for subtasks as well. The '>' symbol means "show tasks" for categories and "edit task" for tasks. The tasks view has an edit button, the categories not.
How about making both views more similar:
- Let '>' on tasks mean "show (sub)tasks".
- Use the edit button on top to edit tasks.
- Not strictly necessary for this feature request, but for consistencies sake: have an edit button on the categories screen too.

I doesn't work when the task that belongs to more than one category has subtasks. In that case the task isn't shown on the device and the subtasks don't seem to inherit the category from their parent on the device.

This was actually already planned, in order to make the UI a little more consistent. Will be part of next version.

On the toolbar of the effort viewer is a dropdown menu that you can use to put the effort viewer in different modes: one of those modes is daily effort. Please explain why that is not sufficient. Thanks, Frank
