Create an iOS URL scheme to integrate Task Coach
Would it be possible to at implement a custom URL scheme? Some possible uses would be:
1) taskcoach:// - simply open Task Coach to the home screen
2) taskcoach://?cat=abc - open to tasks in category abc
3) taskcoach://?sync - opens the Sync screen
4) taskcoach://?addTask?subject=new_task&category=cat&......
5) There are probably other potential locations - but these are the ones that come to mind right nowI could then use a timer-based tool like Workflow or Launcher to automatically pop-up directly to the Sync screen in Task Coach - or use IFTTT (or some other tool) to take E-Mail messages or texts…

Adjust tracking times manually
If I unintentionally let the tracking timer over-run on a job, I need to be able to manually adjust it; or I might need to add in tracked time after the fact. (This may be possible on the iOS app, but I can't see how it is done: a heads-up would be great! :-) )

Ability to view, add, edit effort description on IOS version
within IOS you can see the effort times (date, start and end) but you can't see any effort descriptions. This would make the IOS a lot more useful

Enable Iphone/Ipad/Ipod sync with memotoo like OSX version
If you have your windows pc on a corporate network, that isn't part of the same network as your Mac og Iphone, you can't sync. Why have a sync option on the Mac version, and not be able to sync the iphone the same way?

more compact use of space on screen
The layout on iOS is cluttered and utilizes space poorly. Whole lines are dedicated to just putting the task number. The grid is ugly on the iPad version and a whole lot of space is wasted. This waste of space allows only 3 tasks to be viewed -- when at least 10 could be viewed. It would make the iOS apps much more useable to redesign the layout.

note: while we will consider this and there’s room for improvement, there is a compact view option in the preferences

One-click Effort Tracking
I would like to have a button to track effort directly from the task list. Right now I have to click through 3 levels to start tracking a task effort. I would love to have a quicker and more stream-lined way to instantly track a task.

have expand/collapse option and/or show only top-level view for category list
Currently, all categories are listed at once, just with indents.
The list can be quite long. So:How about an option to show only top-level categories
and/or some quick way to expand/collapse categories to show and hide the subcategoriesThis way, quickly seeing all the tasks within a top-level category would be possible (current

Open .tsk file stored on iphone
I keep my desktop task list in Dropbox, so it appears my iphone through the dropbox folder. But I cannot get it from there into the iphone ap.
It would be very helpful if the iphone app could open that .tsk file in the iphone version. In addition, pressing the .tsk file in the dropbox app could then launch taskcoach and open the file. Any time the file changes, it could be automatically updated in taskcoach.
This would allow easy syncing across all platforms.
Keep up the good work!31 votes -

Use WebDav-Server for task file
I'd like to work directly with the data file of the desktop version. The file could reside on a WebDav-server, so I wouldn't need the wlan sync any more.

Add some full cloud sync system
That would allow us to sync when not on the same network.
Dropbox or OwnCloud or whatever service, if that could be feasible23 votes -
Subtasks under different category than parent task
When you select a category in the categories section, any subtask having a parent task under a different category is not being shown.
Please add the functionality to show task of even a different category if it contains sub tasks under the selected category.

Sync iPhone and iPad apps with each other
Now you have to sync each with desktop. In alternative, sync iPhone and iPad to a remote syncml server - especially useful when you forget to sync with desktop
Better than everything, sync desktop iPhone and iPad with dropbox21 votes -
Option to not start new tasks in iOS
I'd like to use Task Coach in a Kanban (or scrum) mode where entering a new task just adds it to a backlog, but does not start it.
The preferences are there for not starting new tasks on the desktop, but this should also be added to the iPhone app.
