more compact use of space on screen
The layout on iOS is cluttered and utilizes space poorly. Whole lines are dedicated to just putting the task number. The grid is ugly on the iPad version and a whole lot of space is wasted. This waste of space allows only 3 tasks to be viewed -- when at least 10 could be viewed. It would make the iOS apps much more useable to redesign the layout.
note: while we will consider this and there’s room for improvement, there is a compact view option in the preferences

Even the compact view uses the same wasteful layout. Huge banner just for the priority number or other labels, huge check box, large grid that adds far too much leading for the text. The grid is not really very attractive -- alternating line colors as is often used with listings would be great. When you have a long list, scrolling doesn't let you compare list items very easily.
