  3. Would it be possible to at implement a custom URL scheme? Some possible uses would be:
    1) taskcoach:// - simply open Task Coach to the home screen
    2) taskcoach://?cat=abc - open to tasks in category abc
    3) taskcoach://?sync - opens the Sync screen
    4) taskcoach://?addTask?subject=new_task&category=cat&......
    5) There are probably other potential locations - but these are the ones that come to mind right now

I could then use a timer-based tool like Workflow or Launcher to automatically pop-up directly to the Sync screen in Task Coach - or use IFTTT (or some other tool) to take E-Mail messages or texts…

  4. If there is more than one computer in the network running Task Coach, my iPhone Task Coach app initially asks me which computer that I would like to sync with. Thereafter, it will sync only with the last computer that it synced with, instead of offering me a choice.

Probably the best way to deal with this would be to have an option in the settings for the iPhone task coach, to always sync with the last computer (if available), or to offer the choice (like it does now).

  5. I'd like to be able to see the start and end times of the efforts associated with a task, as is possible in the desktop version.

  6. I'd like to work directly with the data file of the desktop version. The file could reside on a WebDav-server, so I wouldn't need the wlan sync any more.

  7. Currently, all categories are listed at once, just with indents.
The list can be quite long. So:

How about an option to show only top-level categories
and/or some quick way to expand/collapse categories to show and hide the subcategories

This way, quickly seeing all the tasks within a top-level category would be possible (current

  9. If I unintentionally let the tracking timer over-run on a job, I need to be able to manually adjust it; or I might need to add in tracked time after the fact. (This may be possible on the iOS app, but I can't see how it is done: a heads-up would be great! :-) )

  10. The layout on iOS is cluttered and utilizes space poorly. Whole lines are dedicated to just putting the task number. The grid is ugly on the iPad version and a whole lot of space is wasted. This waste of space allows only 3 tasks to be viewed -- when at least 10 could be viewed. It would make the iOS apps much more useable to redesign the layout.

note: while we will consider this and there’s room for improvement, there is a compact view option in the preferences

    Cheers,

  11. Please add the ability to select which categories to sync or not between desktop and iPhone. I have some categories that are by definition obsolete but I want to keep the tasks in Task Coach on my desktop for future reference.

I'm thinking about a section in iPhone preferences on the desktop version of Task Coach that shows a list of the categories along with checkboxes (much like the Category list in the main Task Coach window) and you could uncheck the box for a category and then the next time you sync the category and all it's tasks would…
