Keyboard Shortcut for Items moving
Ctrl+Up/Down arrows. It would be nice to have a keyboard shortcut for it.

Allow editing of the % complete of a task in the task list.
For example, you could right click on the selected task(s) and there would be a Completion menu option with a Submenu with say 25%, 50%, 75$ and 100$ options. This way you could quickly give some idea of how far a bunch of tasks are.

Resume the x last trackings
Hi,
Because when I working on a task, I need sometime interrupt it to start another one (ie: a meeting) then return to my initial work, I suggest to allow a tracking resume for the x last tasks in the contextual menu of icon.
I guess 5 is a max but 2 is good too, this number could be an option in the settings.

Improve accessibility for screen readers, I'm trying to use task coach with NVDA Screen reader but I can't select categories and tasks created in the main window, the menus are accessible and some dialogs but select one task or category to do actions with it is not possible.

allow users to mark a task as invoiced.
I can mark a task completed (and remove it), but I cannot mark a task as invoiced. These two are not necessarily the same. Once a task is invoiced I'd want to mark it as invoiced, so I can get a list of the tasks that still have to be invoiced.

New appearance settings
I am using Task Coach mainly as a simple to-do list for a project, since it can visualize/sort independently the different categories, tasks, and descriptions so easily and clearly.
In the version I am using on Ubuntu 20.04, I noticed that the Appearance settings of a task (either colors or icon) overwrite the Appearance settings of the category.
I would find it even more useful if the visualizations (including the icons) of categories and tasks would be independent of each other.
(But it is still possible however to set independently e.g. color background for the category and color foreground color…3 votes -
create two more fields for tasks: Name and Place.
I use TaskCoach for two years now, I am very happy with that, thank you very much for your support.
Sometimes I have to know the name of the guy I worked with months or years ago and I remember we were at at specific place.
If you could create two more lists - Name and Place - I could choose the name of the guys I work with them for that task, and the place we met, or just a subtask, i.e. I have to meet someone somewhere.

Multiplateforme et synchronisable
Bonjour votre produit est au top il manque néanmoins une chose essentiel à mon avis une multiplateforme sur les tablettes et smartphone notamment sur Android et surtout la possibilité de synchroniser tous les données des multiplates forme.
C'est à mon avis ce qu'il manque à votre outil.
En attendant un grand merci et un grand bravo à vous.

Make auto-save fast by delaying it
The delays when using auto-save are really annoying, but they could be
mitigated! The main use cycle for TaskCoach (as far as I can imagine) is...x.........xxxx..............xx.............xxx..............................................xx.xx..........
...with "x" being an action and "." being idle time.
When there is only one action, the delay caused by Auto Saving is not
bad, the user wouldn't notice it. When there is more than one action, it
is annoying.How about introducing a wait time, configured as:
Auto-Save <minAmount> to <maxAmount> seconds after changeTaskCoach holds two timers: One gets reset at each change, one other

Appimage
Appimage is very easy for a basic user to use an app. For me installing taskcoach to Ubuntu is torture type. I request from taskcoach developer to make an appimage package in their download page. It'll be very usefull.

Can a parent due date be automatically set to the due date of the earliest due child? It could be done with a simple check field.
Can a parent due date be automatically set to the due date of the earliest due child? It could be done with a simple check field to the right of the of the due date field, greyed out for tasks. This way I don't have to keep synchronizing the due dates and know by the color of the parent that a child is due without having to open up all parents and sub-parents.

Un-select tasks when task area loses focus
When you're down to one task, you cannot see what color it is the way it works today. If it had an option to un-select the tasks when the task area loses focus, or if there was an option to put a border around the highlighted item rather than re-colorize the background. It just needs a way to be more visual, and to not intrude upon the color coding system when an item is selected.

Provide the capability of displaying time (the term "time" is used here in its general sense (yyyy mm dd hh mm ss etc.)) in a user selectable and definable format.
The format should also include user selectable delimiters between various units of time such as "space" ( ), "hyphen" (-), "forward slash" (/), "greater than" (>), and other symbols to separate the various units of time.

I have upgraded but Task Coach isn't supported on Catalina...
