  1. I would love to see this ticking clock, appearing as the TaskCoach icon when minimized to system tray, (more) highlighted/salient on my screen.
--> Having the ticking clock icon as symbol also in the task bar shown, would already fulfill the job.

And a strong improvement on top of that feature would be, if instead of the ticking clock there would be shown the specific choosen icon of the running TaskCoach task. This would be fantastic!

Thanks, btw, for that very great opensource software!

  4. I'm not sure if this is already possible - I posted in Yahoo Groups asking, but my post isn't showing up so I'll try here.

For longer term projects I would like to be able to see a quarterly or annual overview in the "Calendar Viewer" using the "horizontal" orientation (the gantt chart view).

This could be achieved by having the option for columns to be displayed as 'weeks' or 'months' rather then just 'days'. It would also be nice to have some control over the heading text (size and content) so column size can be reduced without making a…

  5. Currently there is no way to easily identify billed effort or charge different rates without creating redundant tasks. The following are some features which would make the application much easier to use.

    1) After exporting task efforts it would be beneficial to be able to mark those efforts as billed. I currently create a stop and start effort entry to show where I last exported and billed the efforts.
    2) Mark an effort with no charge or enable the ability to change the billing rate at the effort level. I currently create a redundant task with a no charge category…

  7. Please add the ability to enter expensed items which can be totaled similar to effort and exported. Currently one has to use a separate application to enter expenses related to effort.

  8. I'm using Task Coach very often and a lot, so i have many tasks to create. I disabled all inactive tasks for better overview, but every new task is a inactive task. So i first have to activate the vision for inactive tasks, search for my new ones between all the other tasks, mark them as active and than deactivate the inactive tasks again.
Is it possible to bring an option that all new tasks are automatically an active task? Thanks a lot!

  9. So, this isn't a feature request but just a thought which I'm sure you've considered, but which I would like to submit to the community as well.

People like free things. However, what people like more than free things are things which are lasting and reliable. The development on TaskCoach as been amazing. I can't find its equal. There are paid alternatives, most if not all of which are very expensive.

You have a large user base who love this software. Millions of users. Monetizing TaskCoach could be as simple as developing official mobile apps. This could mean the difference…

  13. I use your wonderful Task Coach [thank you for it!!!] in Linux Mint. I do not shutdown my pc each night, but instead Suspend it to RAM [with all my active programs & docs etc still open]. Each morning i then Resume/Wake it, to continue yesterday's activities. TC is one of my "constantly open" programs. Sometimes a few hours after the Wake, TC seems to work out that it's now a different day, & shows me any relevant Reminders. Unfortunately most of the time it does NOT do this, ie, does NOT generate the Reminders for me. I would like…

  14. Date format in effort details should always show a two digit month and day (03/01/2016) so they can be properly sorted in a spreadsheet. The current format creates a single digit month & day that cannot be changed in Excel when exported and prevents correct chronological sorting.

  15. I would like the ability to retain a completed task record for tasks that are recurring. Currently, when I complete a recurring task, the task is reset to the next due date which is great, just what I need. But I would also like to see a record of that task as a completed task. For example, I have a task call Monthly Financials for a client. It would be nice to see the historical records of when this task was completed.

Note: I already have marked this in our plans, but not sure when we’ll get to it. There are many related requests already, notably:

    http://taskcoach.uservoice.com/forums/26465-desktop-version-windows-linux-mac-of-task-coach/suggestions/3628890-retain-completed-task-history-for-recurring-tasks

    https://taskcoach.uservoice.com/forums/26465-desktop-version-windows-linux-mac-of-task-coach/suggestions/1551061-calender-view-show-completed-re-occuring-tasks

I’m keeping this open as your request is most clearly in line with what I want us to do.

    Cheers,
    Aaron

  16. I would like to be able to specify a DNS name or IP address for synchronization when using Task Coach on my iPhone. The reason that I would like to do this is to be able to sync either over the Internet or connected to home via a VPN - where Bonjour and mDNS does not appear to properly work.

  18. The top bar indicator icon does not fit various themes.. it was black background a couple of versions or so ago.. now it is grey.. I changed look and feel of interface to fit with task coach.. then task coach changed the icon again.. is it possible to put a transparent icon as the GTK top bar icon? I am using cinnamon.. but I think similar problem exists in unity / gnome 3 etc etc.
