automaticaly focus when dbl click on task list
when we double click in the task list the dialog box open on the right tab, that's good.
but it would perfect if the focus was automatically given to the right zone.
for exemple when we dbl click in the percent colums if the percent have the focus we only have to type the new value and press enter it will be shorter.or to have the ability to modify it without opening the dialog box, which will be great to.

User-entered snooze period
I'd l ike to enter my own 'snooze' time on a reminder instead of choosing from dropdown. Examples: 2m = 2 minutes, 360m = 360 minutes, 4h = 4 hours, 72h = 72 hours, 3w = 3 weeks, 50w = 50 weeks, etc.
I have another little reminder program I use, and this is it's coolest feature. Would be great to have in TaskCoach too.
Thanks for consideration of this idea :-)

native language add task dialog
if i type "date with Lisa at tomorrow 18:00 @park", it will add a new task, and the task categories will be @park, this feature can make task coach more smart, and easier usage.

Unselecting all categories at once
When a amount of categories will grow up the listing will become quite long. When I have selected categories here and there it could be nice to remove the checkbox selection at once to view all tasks without scrolling and unselecting them manually.

Task Counter
Every time a new task is created, there should be a field with a task number (that increments every time for new tasks).

Add direct cost to a task
It would be great if you can add certain costs (not work hours, but eg 3rd party invoices) to tasks, so when the task is finished you have a complete overview of the direct costs that were involved.

Print feature - Add options to print dialogue
What a great helpful little app this is.
I would like to see various print options added.
The one that comes to mind is when printing the task list, that the progress is added to the printout in a bar line. This should be not too difficult to add (yeah i know, nothings too difficult when your asking for something and not the coder yourself)!
I appreciate the effort that you have put into this app so far - thank you.
I have access to Ms project so I know what a full scheduler / task system can do -…10 votes -

Hide task parent In Effort viewers
When I add an effort in a subtask, the parent task shows up in Effort per day/week/month viewers, cluttering the effort list.

Adjust windows and dialogs for netbook (1024x600) screen support.
Many of the dialogs barely fit on the netbook screen, even when dragging the title bar to the top of the screen. Also, the window position is not remembered when re-opening the application (window size is remembered).

Ability to enter multiple tasks via text input
What I would really like is to be able to past a simple list of tasks from a text file into Task Coach. New tasks created in this way would simply have default attributes. Thanks!

Save presets of defined filters and sorting
I would like to be able to save groups of filter settings together as a filter set.
These presets should also include sort settings (including multiple levels; for example, first sort by Subject ascending, then sort results by priority descending)Presets could be able to be quickly chosen from a dropdown menu.
Additionally, I would like to be able to define views that utilize specific filter sets (i.e. they regularly refresh to stay consistent with the defined preset). This would allow different task views on the screen at the same time.

Drag & drop tasks into daily calendar including individual grouping & sorting
often the task lists are very long... and you know that you won´t do it all at the day it was originally scheduled... for this a drag & drop function into the daily calendar would be helpful to arrange the things you really will or want to do today. within this drag & drop arrangement there should be the possibility to re-group and re-sort the tasks to create an actual todo list for the day, keeping the not moved tasks in the general list a s pending...
further I must say that the actual data input is not really user…9 votes -

Daily Time Totals
I would like to be able to track effort for a task on a daily basis along with the total time spent.
The daily time would obviously be recorded in the Total Time, but would reset at the end of the of day or when I mark a daily task complete.A seperate column header for "Time Spent Today" would be great.
I would also like to see a running total for all effort for all tasks for the day, possibly in the status bar.
This would allow me to quickly see how much of my time was being tracked…5 votes -
Move TaskCoach.ini from the .home directory to the Library directory in the Mac version
Might we consider putting the Mac file location information in the FAQ section
of this Group Forum AND taskcoach.org? Might save someone else the
near-heart-attack that I suffered? As an aside, it doesn't look to me as if the
User Prefs are saved in a "Mac-like" manner, i.e., in a
"<username>/Library/Preferences/TaskCoach.plist," or a folder within that
Preferences folder? Are they also saved as part of the (what would be in the
Windows version) .tsk file?Hi! I've copied and pasted this from Messages section (Mac OSX Snow Leopard- Lost All Files!), as requested by Frank.
"The TaskCoach.ini file is saved in…

when setting planned time, mechanism for spreading out tasks
When a new task has to be created, one of my first concern is "When can I do it ?" Eventually, I specify a date but I don't really know what is my workload for that day.
So I suggest :
* a mecanism that would give a warning if a threshold of X number of budgeted time (or a percentage of the day) is passed per day
* consequently, a way to spot the next free window for the budgeted task14 votes
