Multiple Columns for Preview Pane
I write a lot of notes for each task and even though I am using a 22 inch screen, when I rest the cursor on the task to preview the notes I cannot see them all. At present you only get one column of preview notes. Could you have the preview notes extend into an additional one or two colums?

Keep efforts when sub-task is deleted
To keep the number of subtask down i often want to delete minor tasks/todo items, but keep the effort. I would be nice if deletion of subtasks could move efforts to the parent-task. so total time consuming was stil keept.

Create links between tasks for non-linear connections
I'd like to have a place for hyperlinks that connect tasks across the whole Task Coach system. This would make organizing work more like a non-linear concept-web type of thing within the existing Task Coach system.
It would be great to have a way to view a list (or ideally a visual web) of all the other tasks that are linked to a selected one). But the first step is just to include a hyperlink connected to one task that can go to another task.

Automatic change of default effort end-date
When entering "historical" effort you can select a date (and start-hour) back in time, and set the check-mark to enter end-time.
When you set the check-mark, it would be nice if the default end-date was set to the selected start date.3 votes -
Filter tasks and efforts by date range
A date-range filter would choose a start and end date for the filter range, and then choose which date (planned start, actual start, due date, completion date) to filter. For example, I could apply a filter to hide those tasks completed before a given day - ideal for my monthly report. For efforts, it would just show the ones that occurred between the filter dates.

I think it would be useful to Import the senders email address and/or name. This would help when following up on completed tasks.

Improved Sub Task Creation
I'd like the option on the Edit Task Pane to create subtasks from there, rather than having to select the task, and then Create new sub task.
Probably heresey I know, but something similar to the way Project allows you to create tasks...

Copy tasks as simple text to the clipboard
It would be really nice to copy tasks names from the "Tasks" list using Ctrl+C as simple text, so it would be possible to insert it somewhere else, in the editor for example.

Save notes without closing the note/task window
Now, to save a note/task it is necessary to close the window. If we had a "save" button in the note/task window, then notes could be saved without closing.

Tiny Window w/ current tracked task, recent task list, other shortcuts
Really helpful would be a tiny window showing which task was currently tracking time, which could sit over other windows at the top of the screen. A click would give a drop-down of all other active task, and you could select another task, to change to tracking time against that task. So, when working on task A and an email comes from someone for task B, you can switch quickly, then switch back to A after dealing with the email.

Categories in templates
Now categories are implemented with the tag categorizables including every the id of every task they affect. This makes impossible cool things like include automatically categories to task templates. Now task templates don't store at all category information, because the tag categorizables in task.tsk hardcodes every id.

I'd love to see widget like buttons that can float on the desktop at all times so that with one click I can start/stop tracking effort.
this would help when I am doing many different jobs at once and changing from task to task often.

Save and reapply custom layouts
Why not add a possibility to save the settings for:
- columns shown
- view setting (list | tree / all | any checked / ...)°
- sort order
- filter settings
- viewers visible
- categories chosen
If then there is a drop down box with the list of saved layout settings, you can easily switch between different layouts !° now these settings only can be set by a drop down box on the viewers toolbar. If the viewers window is small, you can't see it. Maybe the choices also could be added to the 'View' menu, so…

Column showing only one selected category instead of all categories
It would be nice to be able to add columns showing only one category instead of just all categories.
This opens many possibilities:
- easy toggling a category on/off
- sortingWhen a category has subcategories, the category column could show just the subcategories. If then there is possibility to make subcategories unique (choosing one subcategory unmarks the other subcategories), it's near of having custom user fields, enabling:

Open single attachment
Hi,
Currently , on right clicking any task ,category, etc. , we can open all attachments at once .

Evidence Based Scheduling
It would be very neat to see Task Coach support Evidence Based Scheduling. Evidence Based Scheduling would allow users to improve their ability to estimate when a task would get done.

Sync with Google tasks
I suggest you make a way to import google tasks from the web and replicate back, so we can keep track on the move, or just export a list to google tasks

Completed Tasks view per time period
It would be nice to have an option to create a view for all completed task accoroding to dates (start date and end date) that will be provided by the user. It will be helpful for creating a "Monthly Report" or "Weekly Report", for example, of completed tasks.

To include a list of the last 10 most used task. There are tasks I use much more often than others.
