Add "involved people" field
To better manage job tasks would be very useful to list who are the other people involved in the task (requested by; owner; other involved people)
1 voteYou can easily do this right now, using categories. Simply create a category Person and a subcategory for each person you need to assign tasks to, e.g. Person→Mary, Person→Joe, etc.

Filter to hide / unhide folders so only Tasks appear in list
Folders and tasks are intermingled, with no way that I can find to separate them. Folders are not actionable, and I don't need to see them except when adding tasks. It would be great to be able to filter out folders so only tasks display.
1 voteThis is possible, but you have to put the task viewer in list mode (using the drop down on the task viewer toolbar) and then turn on the filter: View→Filter→Hide tasks that are→Composite

Export complete effort task list in cvs format
Export complete effort task list in cvs format
1 voteThis is already possible. If you want to export more columns, just make them visible before exporting. If you want to export effort for one task, use the “effort viewer for one task”. Cheers, Frank

Show the group total effort time based on child tasks
It could be show in the software interface and in exporting options. It could be very helpful to compute a total time instead of adding all the subtasks effort times. Thank you for this great application!
1 voteThis is already possible: make the “total time spent” column visible.

Export all detail to CSV or XML
I have many tasks where I have multiple "efforts" applied. I need to include detailed billing for my clients so it would be great if the export will actually export all the details. This would make it a lot easier to produce an invoice in something like excel, work, or quick books.
1 voteTask Coach exports whatever is visible in the viewer you are exporting. So make the columns visible that you want to export, sort in the order that you want to export, filter if you don’t want to export all efforts or tasks and then export.

The date format follows the language setting. Use English (UK) to get the European date format.

Track Multiple Tasks
In our world of multitasking, it would be nice if multiple tasks could be tracked at one.
1 voteThis is already possible: start tracking the first task normally and then add an effort record to the next tasks (e.g. using the righ-click menu) and don’t fill in the stop time.

Task square map for priority
I would love to see a option which allows me change the task square map -view from budget to priority.
This is because i to not use budget informtation at all but the square view is a much better visual overview which tasks are high priority tasks and which not. Now I use budget to affort this and have to set priorities too what is a little bit confusing and generates errors.1 voteRelease 1.0.0 supports visualizing priority with the square map viewer.

Time format change
MM/DD/YYYY is extremely confusing for me. Suggestion is to have option to change time format. (for example: DD/MM/YYYY)
1 voteThe time format is coupled to the language. Set the language to English /GB to get the European date format.

Keeping track of tasks that need to be billed is already possible, using either a subtask (“Send invoice for parent task”) or having a category of tasks that still need to be invoiced.

Search/filter
It would be very helpful if we could filter/search the display, especially in the notes. I often need to look back at the notes to look up details. Also, incorporating Regular Expressions would be fantastic.
1 voteThis is already possible. Use the search control on the toolbar of a viewer to filter what is displayed in the viewer. This also supports regular expressions.

You can either give the task no start date or a start date in the (far) future and it becomes “inactive”. Inactive tasks can be hidden using the toolbar of task viewers.

Task names for displaying task window.
Small suggestion:
- is it possible to name the window with the subject of the task (exemple for T1: Edit task T1), useful in the window menu to select the right task when many are opened?
- is it possible to name the task panel with full task path like in tasks list (exemple for MainT including SubT: MainT -> SubT), useful when a subject of a subtask is generic to many main tasks?
Many thanks.1 voteTitle of edit dialogs is more informative, starting release 1.0.3.

Specify Task Database Storage Location
I like the suggestions of storing the Task database file on a remote location, but I also would like to merely specify where to store it locally. I boot to different OS/versions in the same box, and would choose a disk or storage location that is accessible to me regardless of which Login I am using.
1 voteJust save the file in a folder that is accessible from your different operating systems.

calendar view: need to support sorting of tasks
When looking at the Calendar view, it would be nice to support the tree view as well as sorting by other fields as is done in the Task view
1 voteSorting is supported since 1.0.3; use the “View/Sort” menu.

calendar view: Need to lock down the day and date at the top of the calendar view
Currently the day and date scroll off the view panel when scrolling tasks. It would be more useful if only the tasks scrolled.
1 voteVersion 1.1 has implemented this.

Hi Pablo,
This is already possible: put the task viewer in list mode using the drop down box in the toolbar of the task viewer and then hide composite tasks using the View→ Filter → Hide composite tasks menu item.
Cheers, Frank
