Leave the focus on the task list after completing a task
After I complete a task, the completed task remains highlighted but it does not have focus. So I can't just use the arrow keys to highlight the next task I want to address. I have to use the mouse to click on a task in the list first. I'd like to see the focus stay somewhere in the task list.
As for where to put the focus, It might make most sense to focus on the next task in the list rather than following the completed task since it's unlikely the user needs to interact with that task any further.
1 votethis should be working, please post a bug report if something is still not working right with this: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=130831&atid=719134&status=1

Export as CSV more field such as the description and categories
Hi,
The function export is limited to the title. Would be good if the description, categories are added as optional during the "export" function.1 voteTask Coach exports whatever is visible in the active viewer. To export descriptions, make the description column visible and then export.

Filter tasks based on parent task
I'd like to be able to create a task viewer and specify a parent task as filter criteria so that the viewer shows only children of that parent.
Use case is approximating the idea of an inbox for the GTD methodology. I created a top-level INBOX task and then wanted to create an always visible viewer that would show only the children tasks of that INBOX parent.

Start and due times dropbox include "Hour of end of work day"
Vague title, I know: but assume you set "Hour of end of work day" to 17:00, and "Minutes between task start/end times" to 30 minutes. If I use the drop list to choose a due time, I cannot choose the hour where the workday ends; the latest is 16:30. I think there should be a "less than or equal" comparison, not a "strict less than".
1 voteThis is a bug. It’s fixed in release 1.2.2.

Task view: show only time (instead of date+time) for TODAY's entries
I feel that it would be convenient if only time is shown for today's entires in the task view. This would allow me to keep column size for due/start dates small.
1 voteMarking this complete as the purpose was more clear and smaller column, and this is now fixed in the new v 1.3.21 release where today’s tasks will be marked “today” instead of the full date.
Cheers.

add a button "Select task in Task view" in the "Edit Effort" box
I always look at the effort window to remember what i was doing, and have a hard time finding my task in the Task view to start monitoring it again. by the way, great tool already !
1 voteRelease 1.2.8 has “Start tracking effort” and “Stop effort tracking” buttons to the toolbar of the effort viewer. That way you can simply select the most recent effort record and hit the “Start tracking effort” button to resume tracking the last task.

Change data directly from list of task
Would be nice to be able to change dates for instance directly from the list.
And also color, you double click and there is something like the toggle category but for color1 voteThis is already possible, just click on data in columns and hit enter when done.
If you really want to change things like color without opening another window, vote for this:

Recommend adding a time tracker for each task
This product is great. I would recommend adding a time tracker that users can start and stop per task to track actual time in hours, minutes.

Start Task Coach window in a pre-defined location/size
Hello,
I use Task Coach in the left of my screen to be able to work and control my tasks, but every time I start it it is placed in the top left of my screen.
Would it be possible to configure it to start always in the same position in the screen?Thank you very much.
1 voteTask Coach should already remember its position and size. Please open a bug report for this at Sourceforge (you need to login to Sourceforge first before you can report a bug) and attach your TaskCoach.ini file to the bug report.
Thanks, Frank

Add capability to send a mail from within TaskCoach (I want to delegate a task)
Having the possibility to send a mail from TaskCoach would be great. The mail subject should correspond to the task subject. This feature would come in handy to delegate tasks or ask for the status of work done.
1 voteThis is already possible. Select a task and select the Actions→Mail menu item.

Include css in exported html file for easy emailing
It would be nice with one-file html exports. In other words that the .css file would be included in the .html-file. It would be easier to mail html-formatted reports and so on..

Inline editing of tasks
For users who works fast and don't use all the tabs of a task it would be nice to edit the task title inline, i.e. without open up a popup.
1 voteThis is already possible: click the subject of an item that is selected and a small edit box will appear that lets you change the subject.

System Tray Icon Text Task File Name
Please could the text of the system tray icon be the name of the task file that's open. If I've got more than one file open, I can't tell which icon is for which file unless I restore the window.
