  1. A Timer Alarm set for dedicated work to task

    Set Timer for Task It would be cool to have a feature Labeled 'Work on this for --' then choose a hour, 2, 3, 30 minutes. Then an alarm would be set to go off. I have a lot of tasks I want to put in time on each day, but I never know when I'll get the hour or so to dedicate - and I have to set an alarm to break off and do other tasks otherwise I'll work on those all day long.So while I have an alarm it is a nice feature to have if it…

  2. Add calculated "Billable Time" as a column

    You have time spent, and Hourly fee - can you just calculate the billable time and show that as an optional column? I could then export this information out to a CSV for billing purposes. I'd like to see the current "Time spent" but also how much is this costing the client so far.

  3. A column to display today's task only

    1. To have a new field/Column to show the tasks for the due date on today.This will show only task due to today.This will help to focus on todays task only [Refer: todoist.com]

    2. Option or shortcut to click the hyperlink without opening the specified task.As far as i know I need to option the task then click the link in the description

    3. When Completing a task hide it automatically under a label completed task

  4. A download option that isn't blocked because of malware.

    Sourceforge is blocked by many major networks because of pervasive malware. Any reason that an open source project hasn't moved to Github?

  7. Add an "effort edit" popup upon effort tracking stop

    This would make it much easier to add a description to the effort just completed, without having to manually re-open Task Coach and edit the effort.

    If no categories selected, don't show any tasks.
    By default, you show all tasks mixed in a single list! It's very unconvenient.

  10. to reuse attachments by making a copy instead a reference

    At the moment I am not able to reuse any attachment after drag and drop easily. => Cannot take it out via mouse again and store it anywhere.
    That would be interesting if you later on would like to do something else with this attachment for example to store it in a final folder for a work around.

    But really nice Software! I like it!

  12. Change the user directory for Linux from ~/.config/"Task Coach" to ~.config/TaskCoach

    Linux does not read ~/.config/Task Coach as ~/.config/"Task Coach"

    As a result, when closing down TaskCoach I get a complaint:
    Error while saving TaskCoach.ini:[ErrNo 2]No such file or directory

  15. Please make the icon for linux transparent

    The top bar indicator icon does not fit various themes.. it was black background a couple of versions or so ago.. now it is grey.. I changed look and feel of interface to fit with task coach.. then task coach changed the icon again.. is it possible to put a transparent icon as the GTK top bar icon? I am using cinnamon.. but I think similar problem exists in unity / gnome 3 etc etc.

  16. iphone bonjour

    I would like to be able to specify a DNS name or IP address for synchronization when using Task Coach on my iPhone. The reason that I would like to do this is to be able to sync either over the Internet or connected to home via a VPN - where Bonjour and mDNS does not appear to properly work.

  17. Provide a menu item & icon to refresh the view.

    I use your wonderful Task Coach [thank you for it!!!] in Linux Mint. I do not shutdown my pc each night, but instead Suspend it to RAM [with all my active programs & docs etc still open]. Each morning i then Resume/Wake it, to continue yesterday's activities. TC is one of my "constantly open" programs. Sometimes a few hours after the Wake, TC seems to work out that it's now a different day, & shows me any relevant Reminders. Unfortunately most of the time it does NOT do this, ie, does NOT generate the Reminders for me. I would like…

    so that you can filter your categories a lot quicker/easier rather than going through the menu and 2 sub menus.

  20. Option for marking new taska automatically as active tasks

    I'm using Task Coach very often and a lot, so i have many tasks to create. I disabled all inactive tasks for better overview, but every new task is a inactive task. So i first have to activate the vision for inactive tasks, search for my new ones between all the other tasks, mark them as active and than deactivate the inactive tasks again.
    Is it possible to bring an option that all new tasks are automatically an active task? Thanks a lot!
