Highlight weekends on the calendar with color or gray background (and/or hide option)
I would actually prefer to hide and show the weekends Saturday and Sunday on the calendar entirely, because I have no tasks for the weekend. This will improve the visualization of my tasks. Thanks - Alcenir Brazil.
ALSO:
In the calendar viewer the weekly view shows days but in the monthly view it does not. It would be good to have 'S' 'M' 'T' 'W' etc below the date to work out where work days are.Also you should be able to define the working week in the references (normally Monday-Friday) with weekends being grayed out or a different color…

Scalable view in Timeline view
Would be nice if taskcoach had been built with a function that allow to the user change the time scale in the Timeline view

provide a 64-bit version for macos (High Sierra and beyond)
High Sierra and Mojave will be the last versions of macos to provide 32-bit support. Future versions will require all apps to be 64-bit.

Total task budget of the day.
Hi,
I would like to see the total budget of a day (a sum of all task budget of the day). To see how much time per day is left and if i can plan another task or not. Same for a total budget of a week.

Provide context menu to quickly postpone task
Have a context menu, a hotkey, or a similar flexible method, to postpone a task deadline directly from the task list viewer (e.g. I see a task I will not be able to finish this week, dancing in red on top of task list, I right click and select "Postpone to -> Next Monday" and it shifts its deadline accordingly ...

Print feature - Add options to print dialogue
What a great helpful little app this is.
I would like to see various print options added.
The one that comes to mind is when printing the task list, that the progress is added to the printout in a bar line. This should be not too difficult to add (yeah i know, nothings too difficult when your asking for something and not the coder yourself)!
I appreciate the effort that you have put into this app so far - thank you.

Option to hide tray icon and 2nd Option to hide main window in task bar
Request 1: Add option to hide system tray icon.
Request 2: Add option to additionally hide the main window if user has set "Minimize window to tray" to yes.
Reason:
* Some users prefer to use mainly the tray icon for calling up the main window.Some users prefer to use the tray icon only and want the window hidden (not showing) in the task bar.
Some users prefer the task bar over the tray icon and dont want the a tray icon to waste space when they dont use it. (My personal situation.)

auto exchange data
I would like to see an automated way to exchange the calendar data. My problem is to connect the data from the taskcoach calendar with my other calendars.
I think a similar function like the orage calendar in XCFE. You choose one oder several iCal files, which are shown up in the calendar. This entry's are not imported to the internal database and cannot modified, just displayed.
Since there are a lot of wrappers out, for google calendar or caldav or so, this could help all people to have some kind of integration. Just set up a script with cronjob…10 votes -
Drag & drop tasks into daily calendar including individual grouping & sorting
often the task lists are very long... and you know that you won´t do it all at the day it was originally scheduled... for this a drag & drop function into the daily calendar would be helpful to arrange the things you really will or want to do today. within this drag & drop arrangement there should be the possibility to re-group and re-sort the tasks to create an actual todo list for the day, keeping the not moved tasks in the general list a s pending...

Quick Add Without a Dialog Box
I request you to add quick add functionality, which allows user to add new row on main screen and provide basic details to create new task instead of opening a new dialog box. Person can double click on task to enter additional details if required.

Different columns layout dependent on Category
Task Coach will remember the columns layout for each Category separatelly. As I have different tasks in the list in the terms of what, where and how the things have to be done, different details are important.

Invert Selection
This was in there before but I upgraded, made changes, and needed it and couldn't find it any more. It is really useful, especially since categories and searches don't have a not operator. I tried to revert back to an older version, but the old version wouldn't open it.

In-line spell-checking for subjects and descriptions
Currently, the Mac spell-checking works (but has been turned off for Mountain Lion because of some bug), but isn't perfect (it doesn't highlight misspellings though it does offer corrections).
On Windows and Linux, there is no spell checking.

Drag tasks between different Tasks Viewers
I have hundreds of tasks organized with different levels of subtasks. To make it easier to organize myself, I often have two different viewers of "Tasks" opened, normally one with a flat list of tasks, and the other with hierarchy.

Add "percentage completed" to timeline viewer
Currently, the percentage completed is displayed in the calendar view. This would be very helpful also in the time line view. E.g. the "percentage completed" crossing the "now" line would indicate a task which is lagging behind.
