Syncronise tasks with web2project
I think would be a great addition if we could use task coach on the desktops and syncronise the tasks with central server for project management such web2project.
this will be a great combination to manage a project and project team.

https://taskcoach.uservoice.com/forums/26465-desktop-version-windows-linux-mac-of-task-coach/suggestions/288999-enable-multi-user-task-management-when that’s done, then you can do this along with a cloud service like DropBox, Ubuntu One, or using OwnCloud on your own server — or just directly access the .tsk file itself from the server…

Add task state "failed"
There should be a way to mark a task as "incomplete" or "failed" in order to keep tracking of tasks that don't are completed and bby one reason or another can't be rescheduled because its impact is none.

Support multi-user task management: add ability to delegate/assign a task to someone
Often, larger projects have many tasks with many subtasks that are shared by the group of people working on the project.
In addition to the already requested feature of allowing multiple users to access the same file with changes made by one immediately showing up in other users' view ( http://taskcoach.uservoice.com/forums/26465-desktop-version-windows-linux-mac-of-task-coach/suggestions/288999 ), the following features would be needed:
Delegate a task/task tree. This would assign a task (or task tree if it has subtasks) to another user, recording the assignment in the in the database and optionally sending the user an email (the sending of an email notification could either…

Allow users to use their own icons
I think you should allow users to use their own icons for tasks, categories, etc instead of restricting them to the limited selection you provide.

have a task NOT completed
In some cases a task will not get completed through no fault of mine and it is unlikey to be completed. So, rather than leaving it as overdue in some cases I would like to mark the task as incomplete but removed from my list. I would like to be able to go over these incomplete tasks from time to time to decide if I want to reinstate them.

Add user defined columns with check-box option
I'd like to be able to create my own columns with user defined values like percent or True/False Yes/No to mark in a box (like it is possible to mark/unmark category now). Then I would be able to sort by my own values. And this way it would be possible to use user defined columns as categories. It would give more flexibility. For example when I have multi-category task, goal - for now category option doesn't allow to sort them properly. I wish it could work similarly to Libreoffice Calc table where I can sort using different filters. I hope…

Export all tasks as xml to ftp server
Provide feature to export/import all data to/from an ftp server. There could be some options: automatic export to server, automatic import on startup, and ftp address in configuration options, xml format, or just .tsk files copied from/to server
5 votesPlease use a standalone solution that does this for you. Googling for “ftp sync” shows a number of existing products that do this.

Show description on different panel. Description can be edit immediately.
Show description on dedicated panel. It's hard to see description on column, since description can have very long lines/paragraphs. Description also can be edit immediately. See abstracspoon todolist for example.
5 votesThis is similar to:
http://taskcoach.uservoice.com/forums/26465-desktop-version-windows-linux-mac-of-task-coach/suggestions/293262-task-notes-paneBut really, I think both these requests are best served by:

Option for : % complete = timeSpent / budget
Makes more sense to me, instead of manually changing % complete each time.
5 votesHaving spent 50% of the budget doesn’t mean the task is 50% complete. So I don’t think it makes sense to base the percentage complete on the percentage of the budget spent.

Would be nice to have the 'notes' interface work more like a text editor
The notes interface requires the user to enter in a note through a 'creation tool' interface. This is very time consuming and unintuitive. It should work similar to how it looks like it works, it looks like a notepad, it should behave like one.

Integrate language setting in the installation process
The language setting should be part of the installation process as it has many implications (date format for instance) and one is not suppose to guess that many language option are available in the preference menu.
4 votesLanguage is set by default to match the language set on your computer. The preference setting exists to change it to whatever you want.

hide task for category
It would be nice to have the possibility to hide tasks belonging to some given category.. In order to display "all tasks belonging to cat1, cat2 and cat3 but not belonging to cat4".

Allow to cut a note and paste it in a different task
Until version 1.2.14 is is only allowed to cut and paste a note only in one and the same task.
Please allow to cut a complete note from the notes window of one task and paste this note to the notes window of a different task in one of the next Task Coach versions, maybe already in version 1.2.15 ?4 votesPlease open a bug report for this. Thanks, Frank

Add proxy parameters for network operation
Using Task Coach under a proxy server today is not possible: please add proxy server feature, making SyncML working!
4 votesIf you are still having trouble with this please post a bug report at
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=130831&atid=719134This isn’t really a feature request because SyncML is already an existing feature and ought to be working.
