Defered/Suspended (aka waiting for, deliverables) Task Status
There is currently no way to identify or mark tasks which are pending third parties, scheduled deliverables, or other externalities which require that the project or progress be suspended, deferred, or otherwise put on hold. It would be great to be able to identify these tasks with a different status (color?) in the task view to help prioritize the active from the inactive (but still current, not future) tasks.

I tend to put a deadline/alarm on items where I'm waiting for somebody. Actually, I make an entire subtask for the item I'm waiting for - such as "receive quote from vendor" or whatever it is I'm waiting for. This way if the deadline arrives and I still haven't received what I was promised, I go remind them about it, get an update on when they think it will be done, and reset the due date accordingly.

Besides the link TrungTN added (and read the comments there!)
You can already make a category tag for this. That's what I use.

This feature is similar to "Mark task as "cancelled". See http://taskcoach.uservoice.com/forums/26465-desktop-version-windows-linux-mac-of-task-coach/suggestions/1145153-mark-task-as-cancelled-
I have already post a solution.

Actually, other statuses like planned, ongoing, waiting for... etc would be very useful.

It would be great if in the "Progress" tab, you could add a task status including:
- not started
- in progress
- waiting on someone else
- deferred
- completedWhen a task is first added, you set it to "not started".
When you change the progress percentage to something other than 0%, set it to "in progress".
When you change the progress percentage to 100%, set it as "completed".For "waiting on someone else" and "deferred" you can have check boxes so the user can set this manually.
