A more intuitive modern interface
I think user interface is one of the weak points with Task Coach. It should be easier, simpler and more clear the way someone approaches and organizes the task manager. Something like this:
1- A main top panel with mid-size distinctive icons and text under them, where the main functions are shown and these organize the sequence of the task process till the very moment is completed and post-review and analysis options appear. There are 2 levels of interface, basic and advanced.
2- Days-weeks could be organized from the very beginning in work hours and private hours, differing from persons or groups. Since most of the task are work or private ones, it could be useful to check how both fit in daily-weekly structures. Also vacations. Good feature also for post analysis charts.
3- Task panel to allow flexible tag - category edition and drag-and-drop organization from one and only window/tab
I think polishing the interface and design could make Task Coach the unbeatable To-Do program. All the good pieces are there. Just needs a modern overview.
Once achieved, Awards would surely fall like raindrops. And donations either!
Thanks for taking it into consideration! Keep the great work!

There's not much that can be done on the UI side right now. I'm currently rewriting it to use Qt instead of wxWidgets, which will give me more freedom to tinker (and less bugs), but it's a long and difficult process, won't be finished before long.

Personally in addition to these, I would recommend to add the following amendments as well.
1) Toolbar should be of one color or the whole UI should be enhance globally.
2) Drop-down menu are dropping from center position of the menu clicked, It should be dropped from left or right corner as it is creating wrong sense of which menu is being focus and secondly menus are getting beyond the bounds of the app.
3) Color coding should be implemented in the UI to emphasis the important or less important functions within the app.
4) Task & Categories window should be aesthetically overwhelming by making them in tabs similar in nature to chrome browser tabs, currently the use of grey and white creates inconveniency an inconsistency in the overall look & feel of the app.
5) Animation is requested from you all to be introduced by now e.g:- fading in & out, icons interactivity (icons should be interactive while setting various functions), consistent use user focus (right now , it took a hard time in figuring out where to go) etc.
I love using "TaskCoach" but disappointed from what it's interface has to offer currently.
6) Get me to brand yourself, you guys need a "LOGO" seriously for this robust & wicked "Coach". I am ready to contribute.
AS J.G.E I am saying it too......."TaskCoach" is undoubtedly INVINCIBLE "To-Do program. "Once achieved, Awards would surely fall like raindrops. And donations either!"
Thank you, Wasif Ali.
Waiting for your response.
