Efforts in calendar view
I'd like a view, like calendar view, not for tasks, but for efforts.
[admin note: another closed request for including efforts in the regular calendar is being merged with this idea. A good implementation should allow either effort-only or efforts + tasks views]

I am teaching myself Python and wrote a script last night to implement this externally to Task Coach as a temporary fix. It searches the task.tsk file for all efforts and then exports to a .icalendar format which can be opened in Thunderbird or Google Calendar. In my opinion even more useful than having in Task Coach as I can compare it to my appointments etc.
It can be found at https://github.com/seanws/taskcoach-utils. Will improve it in time and probably look to add it to the export functionality in TC.
This is an old post but I hope it helps someone other than me. -

I think this is a wonderful idea.
However, there is a problem with calendar view when it has too many items, especially brief ones. I thought about this for a while, and I think the most flexible solution is to have some indication of efforts overlaid on tasks within the existing calendar view along with an option to show only tasks that include efforts.
I do also support considering the idea of a calendar that shows efforts in the same way that tasks are currently shown, where each box is an effort instead of a task.
P.S. @ Fabien: it is actually possible to have overlapping efforts, both in reality and in Task Coach, although this is obviously the exception to the rule.

I usually work on multiple tasks at the same time (typically 10 or more). Efforts are of course unique. The possibilty to input directly efforts on the calendar would also be a great improvement : select time span, and drop a task inside.
