Multiple active sort criteria (sort by, then by, th...)
Hey,
So I religiously believe in your task manager for my daily functions but i've always had one issue, the need to sort by priority then due date.
Using the logic that one should tackle tasks in this order Urgent + Important > Important > Urgent + Not-Important > Not-Important you should be able to understand the request.
If i had only three priority levels (1-3), 1 being the highest, then i'd want to tackle all the 1's first but first by which one is due soonest, then the 2's again by which one is due soonest, and then if ever the 3's.
In reality i have more than three priority levels (1 through 8) but whenever i add a new task i first have to click 'due date' then 'priority' so it will sort it in a logical order. I just wish it could do it automatically just like in excel you can choose sort by, then by, then by.

This request is included in this larger request:

In fact, these are tightly tied. I’m leaving this here open, but I actually think the other request is the mechanism by which this would be functional. Please consider voting for that.

I agree very much with the request.
However, I want to encourage everyone to use Priority in a better way (though you are free to do whatever you like). In Task Coach, priority is infinite, so zero is neutral, negative is lower, higher numbers are higher. I find this far superior to the idea of some fixed scale myself.

I agree - having the ability to sort on multiple fields would be a very nice feature to have
