Add report builder or parameter-based effort reports
I would like to see more customizable reports in Task Coach, specifically in relation to reporting periods and grouping (by category.)
For example:
- Daily summary of effort between Date 1 and Date 2 for all tasks tagged with a selected category.
Currently effort can be filtered by details, day, week or month. Sometimes the month or week that I want to report on does not align with a regular work week. Being able to set the start and end date would be a major improvement.
A tally of the total time spent would also be a nice addition to this report.

This should be fused with 303970, "Assign categories to efforts" [1]. It also should get the 26 votes from that one. Is this possible?

In our company every day must get a piece of work
activities carried out during the day, so it would be
helpful to be able to make a report from the initial date
end date and to take out the time spent on each task.
Thanks for the program. -

This is a great idea and would be helpful in terms of status reports for the boss. I can include a report of the tasks/subtasks and the time it took to complete each task/subtask.

I love this idea! I have been using TaskCoach to track my billable hours and have been exporting to Excel to create my actual invoices. This works fine, *but* it would be nice to save the extra steps and have all the functionality in one place :-)

It would be great to have a view on how many time I spend on every category of tasks.

I'd like to see either a report tool - (r detailson how to use SQL to query the backend datatables) I want to focus on slippage between estimated end date - and actual completion date. (by category)

Can't they be done with specialized tools such as Excel? Should we burden TaskCoach with this?

I like reports too. Any kind of reports building ability would be nifty.
