Importing from csv files. Please. you export, why not import?

    The current version of Task Coach includes CSV import. If there are particular aspects of that you still want, please add other feature requests. Thanks.

        Instead of having to let users map the attributes they want, couldn't the user just leave the field empty? e.g., "foo,bar,,123,456,,,,,foo again,,bar"

        Importing from CSV files is quite a bit harder than exporting since users may not want to supply all the different attributes that tasks can have. So to import from a CSV file Task Coach will need to let the user map the columns in the CSV file to different task attributes. And then there´s the parsing of the attributes themselves, e.g. dates, that´s not simple. So, that´s why.
