  1. change description of taskcoach

    I'm really happy to found taskcoach but it happened by accident, even I was searching around two days to find a program, which stores my data on my computer, not online.
    My search terms were "task timer", task tracker, task tracking", since my old task tracking tool is not supported anymore (gnome time tracker http://gttr.sourceforge.net/ ) I can not build it anymore.
    Taskcoach is even in my package repository (Arch AUR), but I didn't
    found it.
    Could you please extend the package description to let appear the "time tracking" function in?

  2. calculate hourly rate afterwards by dividing profit through working hours

    I work out my own ideas so (unpredictable) rewards are known afterwards. So calculating my hourly rate need to be done AFTER i know my profits.
    I would surely be gratefull for such an option

  5. Categories and tasks should contain properties for adding project number and billing-number.

    Categories and tasks should contain properties for adding project number and billing-number. Then there should be a view that shows how many hours i've worked on each project-number. (I assign projects to categories with sub tasks.)

    I was trying to use background colors to categorize types of tasks. It would be very nice if a template could specify colors and appearance.

    'Task Coach' is very nice management tool!
    Thank you.

    I hope to add one task state. ( wait )
    That is state waiting for the other team to complete task.
    It is not 'inactive', and I'm waiting for the complete by other team.

    I hope to provide a brief report. ( day, week or month )

  8. End dates always after start dates

    It would be nice to disable the ability to set an end date before a start date. When I set a start date, for example next week, and an end date then the default end date is today+1.

  14. Effort in time unit (sec, min, hours, day, week) instead of Start/Date + New properties

    Hi guys,
    Congrats for your tool. looks promising...

    Here is my suggestion...

    As effort is usually dependent of a task, would it be possible to track effort using time units (sec, min, hours, ect) and not calendar (start/stop date)?
    This would also help to add new properties as:
    Estimated Effort; Cumulated Work; Work Remaining (minus if we pass more work on it)...

I'm an Iranian, and many people in my country and Afghanistan and other countries (especially in Middle Asia) have used the solar Hijri calendar. Hijri calendar is now at the end of 1392,and the week begins on Saturday. If you add these features to the software, I will thank you

  16. to speed up toggling categories

    facilitate the way to toggle categories.
    Viewing one task (left pane), hold down a key e.g. CTRL and check/uncheck (right pane) the categories. (This means that holding down the CTRL key and having selected a task, automatically the categories are revealed and can be modified)
    If the task has subtasks then all these to inherit the same parent task's categories.
    Extend this also to multiple tasks selection (again for example holding down the CTRL key. However now is not possible holding down the CTRL key and having selected multiple tasks, to automatically reveal their categories -at right pane-, because the…

  17. Add a feature to email that days/week/month/etc effort according to a configurable template.

    As in the subject.
    The template can be a simple keyword replacement and the email sending can be done through the desktop opening an emailto: link.

  18. "Create effort together with new task" in context menu of categories

    Availabe already in the context menu of categories are:
    "New task with selected categories" and
    "New note with selected categories"

    I would like to see:
    "New effort/task with selected categories"
    which should create a task and an effort. Task should be open for editing whilst effort runs in the background.

  19. Allow double click in toolbar customization to add or to remove a new button

    If I want to add a button to a toolbar, I currently have to select it, move the mouse to the "add" button, and then I have to reposition it.
    Why not simply allowing to double click onto the button to add it?
    Same for removing a button from a toolbar.

  20. What's about adding a button in the toolbar customization behind the current selected?

    I want to add a button to a toolbar in the customization dialog, I have to add it and to reposition it.
    Why not adding right behind/below the current selected button?
    To deselect a button in the right list of used toolbar buttons, simply click after the last button.
