Other Task Coach requests

This forum is for feature requests that are not strictly about the operation of the desktop or iPhone version of Task Coach. They may include general ideas, website feedback, and features that would require creating new services and systems outside of the main program.

  4. I understand the problem, being a retired software designer, of too much code and too few coders.
I'm sure you would get a huge amount of support - even assistance in porting/-coding from the Android community. It is the fastest growing user-base, passing iPhone, as we all watch declining over-all desktop sales. There is no comparable program or app that covers all the bases for syncing, for the 21st century user. Thanks for your consideration, and I'm sorry for adding to a "closed" subject. Please take it in the spirit (the growth of Task Coach) of which it's offered.

There is a way to access Task Coach items on Android through todo.txt format using the Free/Libre/Open app Simpletask
    see here:
    http://taskcoach.uservoice.com/forums/26480-other-task-coach-requests/suggestions/288896-support-for-accessing-task-coach-items-on-android

We understand that is not the same as a full Android Task Coach app.

We will need someone to create a GPLv3+ licensed Android app for Task Coach in order to get a full client. Anyone interested in helping with this project should contact us and we’ll be happy to assist them.

  5. It would really be nice to have a Symbian version as it is a heavily used platform. Actually there's a Python language for it so I think that many of the source code could be reused in order to have the version done quickier and easier

  9. I would like to have the Task Coach integrated (3'rd party add-on) to Outlook by replacing the existing Tasks manager in Outlook. By doing this it would be easier to integrate calendars, contacts, e-mails and tasks, have one software window to relate to, and it would make my day easier :-)

  11. It would be great if we could synchronize Task Coach to do list with the popular (and quite nice) Remember The Milk web app!

We could use Task Coach as a client for RTM, or use RTM as a remote storage for our todos created on Task Coach (so we could access them on the go), and we even could keep todos in sync between multiple pcs.

  16. Many use Thunderbird lightning as calender, but task management is rather bad in lightning. Enabling to drag and drop tasks from task coach to lightning would make it easy to enjoy the benefits of both.
