Port a Version for Maemo
Nokia's Maemo for smartphones/tablets is sorely lacking in a good task manager. Maemo (maemo.org) is based on Debian-Linux. There's a guide for porting app.'s here: http://tinyurl.com/lsrblv I'd be happy to help with any efforts.

i agree with oliver fels, ideal would be a user friendly mobile way of editing the tasks. furthermore - a task manager is lacking, i didn't find one since my progect program on my old palm. a good alternative for that was bonsai, the best user interface on a mobile platform ever seen - but palm is out ;-(
now i'm working on maemo without a program like this ;-( -

I would not directly port TC to a mobile device like Maemo but furthermore go the iPhone way and create a smaller display version from scratch based on the TC data model (eg. using QT framework).
It does not make much sense to have the fully bloated TC on a small screen display. -

@Anonymous: Mebbe. Installing Ubuntu for just one app. seems a bit much if that's what you're thinking.

Hey Frank, I think we have a guy who is currently working on a wxPython port. I'll repost when we've made progress on that. Thanks for the offer of support.

I can't find anything recent about wxPython on Maemo. If you can find a port of wxPython for Maemo I would be happy to work on porting Task Coach to the Maemo platform.
