Set up a bounty system (bountysource.com, opensourceexperts.com) so we can pay you to do good work!
Votes are nice, but cash is better. I'd like to pay minor amounts to have particular features integrated into Task Coach through a site such as bountysource.com or opensourceexperts.com

Make the Linux packages available in repositories
This is the best task manager I've ever used, and I wish it were available in my Linux distibution's normal software repositories, so I can keep it up to date as easily as I can for everything else on my computer. Please make it available in the repositories of all popular Linux distributions.

Just add “ppa:taskcoach-developers/ppa” to your sources with synaptic or muon or with command-line.
See here for more information:
https://launchpad.net/~taskcoach-developers/+archive/ppaBut I agree it would be nice to get Task Coach fully listed in the normal packages and software centers…

Create a yum repository
Hi Frank,
could you perhaps create a yum repository on the download site, so that automated updates of TaskCoach can be done on Fedora ? (It should be easy, see http://yum.baseurl.org/wiki/RepoCreate ...)
Thanks, Petr

AS3 API Flash / Air Version
Using flash and air you could see task coach on many devices including the browser. Ideally this would be a great opensource project for flash devs to build interfaces for. We would need an AS3 API.

Evolution
Would be really nice to have the task integrate with Evolution.
e.g. When I create a task that does not require a completion date or time, do nothing, but if it requires a completion time, add an Evolution calendar item.

Add downloadable templates section on the website
Just an idea - but if you know who is likely to be using the software e.g. website designers, why not make downloadable templates available on your website so that it has more personal appeal and ppl can get up and running quickly - and use the software in a known process environment?

Also, task templates already exist, but if you want layout templates, vote for this other request:

Integrate GUI with CLAWS
This is far better than Lightning and Outlook on features, but slow and lacking on integration with mail. Drag'n Drop just is way more uncomfortable than context-menu "create task from this mail" or "Mail this task"
Claws is lightning fast and has Python-scripting - ideal match to get the best PIM ever. It should be easy to tightly integrate these programes into one through a Claws plugin, creating a PIM suite that beats both Thunderbird/Lightning and Outlook.
Join forces now, let those applications start up together and let them communicate with eachother by contextmenu and shortcuts :-)

sync with Producteev
titles says it all. Not much point only having to my tasks when I'm at home. Allowing sync to producteev would open possibilities to manage tasks on the go.

migrate from hosting the source on Sourceforge to Github
This I believe will allow for more conversation and community involvement around the code and hopefully recruiting more developers. It will be tough changing processes and learning a new technology but I think worth it.
The pattern I have seen and used myself is to have Sourceforge handle the file hosting and distribution and Github hosting the source and version management with the possibility of using their wiki and issue tracking.

sell feature request votes
I have a ton of new ideas that I would like to see developed in Task Coach. I think it has promise to be so much more, and I really want to support it. I am not a programmer (though I've thought of learning), but I can eventually help with documentation, promotion, and other things.
But I want to see the project get more funding. And I want my new ideas (which I have yet to post — I'll try to organize and explain them clearly) implemented.
I think you should sell votes here. I'd like to donate $ anyway,…

Make a phpBB forum on the TaskCoach.org website instead of using Yahoo groups
Much better system overall, easier to see conversations, encourage community involvement, full html text, better aesthetic…
Or whatever other FLOSS forum that is adequate or better than phpBB…

List vs Tree...works ? Navigation improvement....
I'm not able to view any difference between select view in list or tree....according to this....main panel showing all task, never are ordered according to tree structure, always are mixed. And the only way to view every subtasks are with a tick mark on the left tree panel over a task. After second click to unmark a task and select another one, most of the times, enable name of task to rename....
