I VERY strongly support this request. This would be a huge aid as I review efforts for making daily adjustments as needed.

To this I would like to add (since it doesn't seem to me to be a separate request) the ability to shade days alternately, with light lines between each day.

Another request (I'm adding this as a comment here rather than submitting a separate request because it seems related): I'd like the option of displaying Day abbreviations along with the dates. It would be very helpful when scanning through a set of entries when searching for a day of the week instead of having to refer to a calendar to see what date that day was. this, along with the other suggestions here would significantly improve the visually undifferentiated display of efforts.

Many thanks for a great program!

This would be huge. Often I need to go back to previous days and insert interruptions, which means I have to add a new effort for the remainder of the time of the first effort after the interruption. It would be great if there was simply a click to insert an interruption, which of course would be another effort which I could assign to the appropriate task. I can probably devise a work-around where I enter an interruption as another (simultaneous) task and in Excel, where I open the exported CSV, I would create a formula to account for the interruption, but it would be fantastic if I could just do this directly in the program.

I fully agree with this user (including the part about this being a great app!). I accomplish what he suggests with exporting the CSV and opening it as spreadsheet (short explanation), then using conditional formatting to see the gaps and overlaps. To see this in the Effort details window would be great! I particularly like the '"empty" effort' comments above.

A related item: Once gaps and overlaps are rectified, a graphical way of moving the "joints" between efforts as a way of adjusting times for adjacent efforts would be very cool and super-useful.

I am adding my suggestion as a comment to this because it is related (at least in my mind).

In the Effort per day view I would like to have the option of showing ALL efforts, with times. If this was the case Effort per day would be my default view instead of effort details.

I have accidentally deleted efforts with this kind of consolidation process. I agree that this would be a very useful feature.

This was one of the first things I tried to do and I was disappointed that it wasn't possible. It would be very useful to me for a similar reason as the original poster's.
