An error occurred while saving the comment Lukasz commentedWhere would such an extension store the data file? Would it have to be separate from a file used by the stand-alone TaskCoach?

An error occurred while saving the comment Lukasz commentedThis is common in other PM managers like MS Project where any duration can be displayed in any unit, much like how Excel actually stores dates and time as decimal and later translates only the display. The catch is, in MS Project, I believe that one can establish a global setting per project that 1 day = 8 hrs, so if someone enters 8h, it could be displayed at 1d rather than 0.33d. Additionally, MS Project handles "1d" by day of week and considers holidays. I think a simple decimal veiw with one global or task group level setting of 'how many hours in a day' would be more than sufficient.

An error occurred while saving the comment Lukasz commentedI add canceled tasks to a "Deferred" category and remove start and due dates. I change the color of tasks in this category too to provide a visual difference for these tasks.

An error occurred while saving the comment Lukasz commentedHow would this affect the portable versions of TC? I imagine it would make TC much more complicate to run, especially on locked down workstations.

An error occurred while saving the comment Lukasz commentedI like reports too. Any kind of reports building ability would be nifty.

Now that I use this at work, too, I agree. I think it would really only be useful if work days could be programmed. Everyone has different holidays. This is how MS Project does it.
