There is a way to access Task Coach items on Android through todo.txt format using the Free/Libre/Open app Simpletask
see here:
http://taskcoach.uservoice.com/forums/26480-other-task-coach-requests/suggestions/288896-support-for-accessing-task-coach-items-on-androidWe understand that is not the same as a full Android Task Coach app.
We will need someone to create a GPLv3+ licensed Android app for Task Coach in order to get a full client. Anyone interested in helping with this project should contact us and we’ll be happy to assist them.

But in the interim you can accomplish this manually. Simply define a category as Inbox and then add your new task as usual and assign it to the Inbox category then when you are ready to organize the new tasks you have captured you can check Inbox to see the tasks you've added and need to organize.

Probably also should include maps from MindMeister

I'd like to be able to import from mindmaps as well. I'd like to see support for Freeplane and also for SciPlore.

What does this entail? What do you want differently?
I suggested an iconized column view here:
https://taskcoach.uservoice.com/forums/26465-desktop-version-windows-linux-mac-of-task-coach/suggestions/3071426-add-icon-only-iconized-option-for-most-columnsThen hovering over the indicator would identify the tasks in question, and this would help make it easier to quickly see that there are dependents or prereqs.
Please clarify soon. Otherwise, I’m going to close this request, because I don’t understand it.

Agree--it is very important to see the relationships of dependencies to tasks (same for prereqs). There is another item I voted on that is very similar to this one. You should be able to see the relationship between tasks quickly and easily on the main list pane.

Similarly for prerequisites -- I'd like to see that a task is a prereq to something and which task it is a prereq to. This should be seen on the task list itself. Making it a different color would identify that it is a prereq to a task. Perhaps it could then be indented under the task it is a prereq or a dependency too. Colors for dependencies and prereqs should be configurable. Also a different icon would be useful as part of identifying the difference.

Given the similarity to this request:
http://taskcoach.uservoice.com/forums/26465-desktop-version-windows-linux-mac-of-task-coach/suggestions/1145137-save-attachements-within-as-taskfileI’m going to treat the request HERE as a request to copy or move attached files to a specified directory that will be within the same directory as the .tsk file (or optionally any directory the user specifies)

I'd also like to be able to attach images and spreadsheets.

I'd really like to be able to attach PDF files and images as real attachments into the task instead of just having a link. For example, I'd like to be able to attach the pdf of an article I want to read right into the task so that when I am on a plane I can open the article and read it. A link can be useful but I work with multiple machines and want the article with me on whatever machine I'm taking with me. If it is stored on a hard drive on the machine I don't take, then I can't access the link.

While I don't mind if some of my completed items are deleted, there are others that I want to keep -- but I don't necessarily need to see them in the list. So if you are implementing this, I think it might be a good idea to provide the option. Perhaps a checkbox that says keep but stop displaying in list and then have a view where you can then opt to see those items you have completed but kept.
It amazes me that you extoll the virtues of open source and yet opt to support the extremely proprietary Apple products instead of Android. To be consistent with your open source philosophy you should be supporting Android FIRST and Apple if and when you have time -- not the other way around. Other than that I like taskcoach a lot but it is a pain I can't have it on my phone.
