    You have left! (?) (thinking…)
How important is this to you?

@Frank Niessink - You stated: "I see that Toodledo requires a pro account when you want to use subtasks. Subtasks are essential to Task Coach. That basically means that any synchronization solution between Task Coach and Toodledo would require users to have paid account"

I think this is not exactly true. The Android app DGT GTD supports subtask structures and can sync with the free toodledo account. I'm no developer so I can't say how he does that but he does do it and it does work. If you wish to view those tasks and subtasks in Toodledo interface, you do need a pro account.

Many get by with just the freebie. I do right now because I wont use the toodledo web interface to save my life. I find it excruciatingly dull as well as clunky and painful. But if had a compelling reason, if I got some added value or functionality from the pro account, $15/yr is a not a big price to pay.
This is a productivity solution - it's organizing your life, saving time, making you money. If you NEED all your stuff in sync in more than one place, you can scratch a few dollars together to make it happen.

So please have a look at what DGT is doing. Maybe there is a clue or idea in there for you.
If not, then don't think that a $15/yr is going to be a big deterrent to serious users. I think as long as you have some version of sync that works with the toodledo freebie account people should be happy. Those that want/need the extra features can pay toodle for them.
