We will be removing the lock file once v. 1.4 is out as that will support multiple computers accessing the same file at once.

+ option to not show the .tsk file name at tooltip.
I use only one .tsk file... this is only a visual pollution at the small tooltip.Cesar Inacio Martins

I agree with this request , automate this process avoid a lot of overheading controling the taskcoach.
I'm using it a less of month and I'm already felling some problem, not with performance, but for example when I need to correct a effort to another task, when open the task tree there show all finished task too.. the tree becomes huge... the auto archive will minimize this problem .
(in my case, the correct request should be "show only the 'not finished' task"... but this request , auto-archive, will solve two or more problems instead one, for me).Cesar Inacio Martins

I'm just a user, but what I know is the OTRS have a webservice for integration...http://www.otrs.com/en/software/otrs-itsm/features/integration/
I don't know if this could give some differ perspective to how to do this...

Just a note, I have at my taskcoach the "auto save every change" . I do not sure if because I always have a task active the .tsk file is updated every second... this create a huge overhead at google drive, if save the file over it.
If possible, consider this situation, if have some way to minimize this overhead.
Just as example, this is what the google drive logs (check the timestamp frequency):
