An error occurred while saving the comment Now that Google tasks has an API all we need is a significant amount of time. In theory we could buy us some extra vacation days to work on this, but the current cash flow from donations for Task Coach is about Euro 400,- per year...
An error occurred while saving the comment @Hugo P: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SyncML lists client software for SyncML. Please investigate.
An error occurred while saving the comment There is no API (Application Programmer´s Interface) for Google Tasks. So we can´t make Task Coach interface with Google Tasks. You may want to vote for a Google Tasks API here: http://code.google.com/p/gdata-issues/issues/detail?id=987

An error occurred while saving the comment Hi Juan, I guess you didn't notice that the task subject in the reminder dialog is actually a button that you can click to open the task?

An error occurred while saving the comment There is no list of deleted items, but when you delete something by mistake you can use undo (in the Edit menu, you can also hit Ctrl-Z) to undo that last action. It also works for other actions and it also remembers older actions. So invoking undo twice will undo your last two actions.
An error occurred while saving the comment There's undo, but I guess you discovered you deleted the task too late for undo to be of use?

An error occurred while saving the comment @Zeb You can manually enter time spent by adding a new effort record (via the New->Effort menu, Ctrl-E), but you need to enter a start time and an end time. Entering only a duration isn't possible at the moment.

I’m leaving this open because it is somewhat separate, but it is very connected to this:
http://taskcoach.uservoice.com/forums/26465-desktop-version-windows-linux-mac-of-task-coach/suggestions/377630-ability-to-paste-tasks-from-clipboardAn error occurred while saving the comment I don't see what the XML structure has to do with inserting new tasks. Anyway, there's the INSERT keyboard shortcut. Hit INSERT, type the task subject and hit ENTER to create the new task. No clicking required.

An error occurred while saving the comment @JGE Thanks for the pointers. I see that Toodledo requires a pro account when you want to use subtasks. Subtasks are essential to Task Coach. That basically means that any synchronization solution between Task Coach and Toodledo would require users to have paid account...

An error occurred while saving the comment Actually, I have been thinking about this too. If a category has subcategories, then Task Coach should allow you to add a column with the subject of the parent category as column header and the children as values.
What makes this a bit more difficult than simply adding a column is that the available columns depend on the available categories. Right now, the columns are static and don't depend on the contents of the task file. Which columns are visible is saved in the TaskCoach.ini file. Where do we save which 'category' columns are visible? The ini file knows nothing about categories, but the task file knows nothing about columns...

An error occurred while saving the comment @David That sounds nifty. Does that mean that you simply highlight (not click) a menu item and then click the desired keyboard shortcut?

This should be easy enough, and now that we have customizable toolbars, we will look into adding extra tools as options.

An error occurred while saving the comment Merging is indeed quite limited at the moment. We really need to develop synchronization of task files. It's on our wishlist...

An error occurred while saving the comment @Jacob We use the free open source plan of Uservoice. So that is a great service. Unfortunately, merging of feature requests is not part of that plan.

An error occurred while saving the comment I'm not sure I follow you. What is the taskbar icon and what is the notification area icon? What platform are you on?

An error occurred while saving the comment I recall that some versions of Windows only allow 60 characters or so in the taskbar tooltip, that's why the information in there is quite limited at the moment.

We will leave this open, but please, everyone who wants files to just be moved or copied to a directory that could be paired with the .tsk file, move your vote to this:
http://taskcoach.uservoice.com/forums/26465-desktop-version-windows-linux-mac-of-task-coach/suggestions/991699-allow-real-attachmentsThis request here will be considered specifically a request for within the .tsk file itself. It is also unlikely that this request will be implemented. The other, which already has more votes, is more realistic.
An error occurred while saving the comment I won't mark it completed, but I'm not convinced this is a good idea either. It's a lot of work, has the potential to corrupt the task file if we make a mistake implementing this and would create very large task files when you attach more than one or two files.

An error occurred while saving the comment How about telling us a little more about MeeGoo, providing links, telling us whether it is derived from another OS, which packaging it uses? Thanks.

An error occurred while saving the comment Are you aware of the context (right-click) menu and the keyboard shortcuts for increase/decrease priority?

An error occurred while saving the comment I don't think Luiz contacted us. We have no import facilities (yet, we could use some help here).
The feature request has only one vote... If it's really important for you, you could sponsor us to implement it?
