    I believe there should be a notes 'preview' tab that would display the notes when a task is selected or all notes displayed as a tree/or list similar to the task view.

    I believe templates should also copy the categories. The inheritance idea as metioned by dassaieve is nice, but I believe it should be implemented in the subtask creation dialog, maybe as an 'Inherit from parent' checkbox, which would copy the parents attributes - dates, categories, colors, etc.
