    I thought of this too, but right-clicking and going to "Toggle Category" is a functional way to do this already.

    And if you check off categories in the list, any new task you make after that will automatically have all the checked categories.

    Also there is this request:

    I like how this works in Things. I've decided that dumping stuff in an inbox is actually a bad idea though. However, sometimes I need to just jot a note as quickly as possible with no time to do any sorting at all.
    A system-wide quick-entry that just goes to a holding place INBOX would be nice.

    In the mean time, I can use Things or some other quick note-taking program for this and just move the notes to Task Coach later…

    You do know that you can delete efforts within the task editor right?
    Just double click an effort-related column and you'll be right there where you can select efforts and delete them.
