I second this as a priority although the google APIs are not full implemented.

It is strange that this feature is not so much considered. If you can automatically export that files into a folder you can have by small scripting outside the program the compatibility (read only) with virtually all programs existing.

I suggest for more compatibility to export tasks too. It would be a good idea to distinguish between events and tasks and to have the possibility to export them in separate files. This is for example good for Thunderbird compatibility.

SyncML feature is not present in Linux since kernel 2.6. Instead you could use sync-evolution which implements SyncML. I hope this feature will come soon. You could sync Thunderbird (Lightning), nextcloud/owncloud and many other apps of smart phones. I read some old post in which it was presented the possibility to sync Taskcoach by using SyncML (or better pysyncml) under Linux with the application Meetoo.

There is a way to access Task Coach items on Android through todo.txt format using the Free/Libre/Open app Simpletask
    see here:
    http://taskcoach.uservoice.com/forums/26480-other-task-coach-requests/suggestions/288896-support-for-accessing-task-coach-items-on-android

We understand that is not the same as a full Android Task Coach app.

We will need someone to create a GPLv3+ licensed Android app for Task Coach in order to get a full client. Anyone interested in helping with this project should contact us and we’ll be happy to assist them.

It would be great to have at least a possibility to sync Thunderbird events and tasks with taskcoach. This is even yet almost possible but it is not automatic and gives errors; if you export the taskcoach data as icaledar and import them in TB (go to lighting menu Events and Tasks) then you sshould see the event in TB calendar. For some reason it doesnt't work in TB 57 and I have no ide if it could work with older versions or with the new 60.
Implement the sync would be easy if there would be an option in Taskcoach to export automatically every laps of time to a specified folder. Then with a cron event you could force TB to import it at least under Linux. The first step to have compatibility should be therefore to have an option to export events and tasks from Taskcoach to a folder in your Pc.

Re-arranging the order of columns by drag and drop is one of the most requested features for Task Coach. As you may know, our small development team struggles with finding enough time to maintain Task Coach, support users (which we do for free) and develop new features.

We attempted a fundraiser to hire an outside developer to program the feature for us, but the fundraiser was not successful. It was just a test and there are many reasons it could have gone better. We are aware of and are exploring alternative fundraising options in general.

The reason this particular feature is expensive is that it needs change in the underlying wxWidgets framework that we use and needs an outside developer. But there is a lower-cost easy alternative to customizing column order and we will probably implement it soon: we could use the same interface we currently use for customizable toolbars.…
