Access Task Coach Thumbdrive Installation from both Ubuntu and WinDose
I work and play on both Ubuntu and WinDoze platforms. I'd like to put Task Coach on a thumb drive, and to be able to access and manage my task list from either platform.
If you have Task Coach installed on both systems you can access the task file from both systems. If you also want to install Task Coach on the thumbdrive, that’s possible. Just install both a Windows version (preferably the PortableApps version) and a Linux version. You’ll have to install them to different folders of course.

There is no Linux portable version. To share my own experience (I use several task files shared between Windows, Mac OS X and Linux):
- Store your task files on DropBox
- Install Task Coach on each system you're planning to use it
- EnjoyJust don't forget to exit Task Coach on system A before trying to open the file on system B (the lock mechanism will warn you if you want to open a file that is already open somewhere else). As a bonus, you can check the "Store preferences in the same folder as the task file" preference and have the same layout/configuration on all platforms.
