Task tree-view in Effort view has gone - Is there any way I can get it back?
I am sure this was a feature in previous versions, but appears to have been deprecated... I am tempted to downgrade to get it back!
When calculating my monthly hours, it was really handy to be able to click the '-' icon alongside a main task to wrap it up and see the total time of all subtasks at a glance. Now i have to tot them up manually, which kind of defeats the object.
Please don’t use our feature request tracker for support requests. See http://taskcoach.org/getsupport.html for better ways to get support. Thanks, Frank
PS:I think showing the “time spent” column in the task viewer is what you are looking for?

Hi Frank,
Maybe I did just imagine it. I do think it's a feature that would be really nice to have.
Thanks,

Hi Bruce,
I can't recall that. As far as I can remember, the effort viewer always has been a list of effort records, possibly grouped by day/week/month. To see the total effort (including effort for subtasks) per task per month you need to put the effort viewer in monthly mode and make sure the total time spent column is visible.
Cheers, Frank

Hi Frank,
I am almost certain that there used to be a feature in Effort View, whereby tasks could be viewed in 'Tree of Tasks' formation (as is selectable in Task View).
I recently upgraded to version 1.3.14 (skipping a bunch of updates): this feature really doesn't seem to be available any more, and is sorely missed.
Thanks,
Bruce
