gannt chart function
Definitely we have many particular things to be controlled, but at the same time we also need to review the whole development of task on the a longer span(timeline), so i really hope a gantt chart including all events on the task instead of using both ganttproject & taskcoach separately.
Task Coach has a timeline viewer, please submit feature requests in terms of how you’d like to change the timeline viewer.

If i may express a more precise feature about timeline viewer, would be the ability to better interact with the task in that view. If you have tried the GNOME Planner software, you'll notice that you can interact with your task as much with the task list, or the timeline where you can drag new task dependancies, or extend the task time duration, for exemple. This feature might be useful for sometime, we don't notice a schedule issues until we see it in the calendar view.
Also, for having test this week Gnome Planner and Project Libre ( the evolution of open Proj, a Gantt charter) i might add that this software, although not as complex as yours, definetely has some need feature which you could easily take advantage of. It's also very simple to start to use.
Keep up the good work, Task Coach is still in my mind, a very good project

Now that Task Coach will have task dependencies/prerequisites in release 1.2 I guess that would make a nice addition. By the way, this would be a good feature to develop for someone who knows a little Python. Any takers?

Respectfully, a timeline viewer which neither displays nor prints with any dates indicated is hardly a replacement for a gantt chart. Rather than re-inventing the wheel, why not export in a format suitable for ganttproject, as ToDoList does?
