Make prerequisites work within recurring tasks
Currently prerequisites are dysfunctional within recurring task groups. In order to have something like "weekly review" or any other multi-step recurring project that has internal prerequisits between tasks, some change is needed.
Here is the solution I propose:
*given a recurring task that is already "late" (i.e. it had a planned start time which has past) but which is inactive because it has a prerequisite:
*As soon as its prerequisite tasks have each been marked completed (even though these items may themselves be recurring and therefore return to inactive status), the main task in question needs to be made active [i.e. the prerequisite-requirement needs to be lifed click of "complete" for the prerequisite tasks instead of requiring the prerequisite tasks to maintain their status as complete.]
*then as soon as the task in question is itself marked complete, the prerequisite settings need to be reinstated in conjunction with the other status settings (i.e. the date change and the return to inactive status)
On a side note, the workaround of making the whole complex project into a template and then giving yourself a reminder to create a new task from the template does NOT work. This is because templates don't currently include internal prerequisites (or any prerequisite). Changing that would make this workaround function.
As explained in the comments, this is already possible.

Sorry, misunderstanding. Solution: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/taskcoach/message/2968
Basically, subtasks need their own marked planned start date but should NOT get their own recurrence, and then it works.

oops, "lifted" not "lifed" typo
