When you're down to one task, you cannot see what color it is the way it works today. If it had an option to un-select the tasks when the task area loses focus, or if there was an option to put a border around the highlighted item rather than re-colorize the background. It just needs a way to be more visual, and to not intrude upon the color coding system when an item is selected.
