Set working hours and days for a task or a project
This feature would be an "extension" to the idea of not counting weekends.
I use Task coach in my job, so my point of view is "job-related"
I'd like to have an option in the preferences where one could:
- select the typical working hours in a day (for example 8-12; 13-17)
- select the working days in a week
- exclude some particular days (like national festivities)
This should apply to the time spent in the efforts. I mean, for example:
for some reasons I have to create an effort that lasted the entire week, I spent 40 hours but if I put start date on monday and stop date on friday it signs more than 100 hours..
Of course it could be sufficient to set the hours spent in an effort rather than stop time as suggested in the idea "Effort duration entry" but I consider a better solution to set the hours allowed for a task.
It would be great if the program automatically calculated the hours I spent based on my "Calendar settings"; this could happen also with the clock going on (for example, automatically exclude lunch time from time spent).. may be this is asking too much..
These "Calendar settings" could be a project preference ( I mean the same working hours for all tasks) but I understand for other people it could be useful as a task option.
