be able to use lower numbers for higher priorities
Some people (like myself) numerically prioritize in ascending order, with priority number 1 (or 0) being the highest priority, and numbers 2 and above being lower in priority. (In such a system, there are no negative priorities.) Under such a system, moving a priority number 2 to a higher priority would move it to priority number 1, not 3. It shouldn't take much code to add this option. Thank you.

I understand the request, but there's no way you are wishing to have things like a priority of 17 with you system where "1" is highest. Our system is infinite range, and it is really valuable and offers control you do not get with fixed small range. If you want just 1-2-3 or "high" "med" "low" just make a "priority" category" with those as subcategories.
There's a level where having a million options is the wrong way to go. It's better to simply use a well-designed option the way it works even though there exist other designs.
Still, leaving the request open for now as it is a valid request.
