A more intuitive and modern interface
I think user interface is one of the weak points with Task Coach. It should be easier, simpler and more clear the way someone approaches and organizes the task manager. Something like this:
1- A main top panel with mid-size distinctive icons and text under them, where the main functions are shown and these organize the sequence of the task process till the very moment is completed and post-review and analysis options appear. There are 2 levels of interface, basic and advanced.
2- Days-weeks could be organized from the very beginning in work hours and private hours, differing from persons or groups. Since most of the task are work or private ones, it could be useful to check how both fit in daily-weekly structures. Also vacations. Good feature also for post analysis charts.
3- Task panel to allow flexible tag - category edition and drag-and-drop organization from one and only window/tab
4- Once you start a task, together with priority and tags/categories, you could be asked for your own time-cost and difficulty expectation, independent from due- or end-dates. Once you start the task, the clock runs. If you stop for any reason, you are ask for the reason (another task in between, a subtask required (just found out!), external distraction, phone, etc). The clock stops and logs the interruption. You get back to the task. You finish the task. Once completed, you are asked about your prior expectations and real results. Later on you can read the log, compare it with another tasks, ask for charts and analysis about successful and failed plannings, checking which kind of tasks and in which situations/ time of the day/ difficulty/ etc. are you good at and which areas you have to improve. After all task management goes also about man- management and improving yourself.
I think polishing the interface and design could make Task Coach the unbeatable To-Do program. All the good pieces are there. Just needs a modern overview.
Once achieved, Awards would surely fall like raindrops. And donations either!
Thanks for taking it into consideration! Keep the great work!
This is too many requests in one post.
They are separately here:

and there are a other requests for weekdays vs weekends and other drag/drop…
Please try to post clearly defined requests.
