Retain completed task history for recurring tasks
I would like the ability to retain a completed task record for tasks that are recurring. Currently, when I complete a recurring task, the task is reset to the next due date which is great, just what I need. But I would also like to see a record of that task as a completed task. For example, I have a task call Monthly Financials for a client. It would be nice to see the historical records of when this task was completed.

Are there any plans to implement this please? It doesn't have a lot of votes but I think there are many use cases for it, including budgeting, expensing, and just proof of daily work.
I want to add my voice to this. Monthly financials, or even when a remote employer wants to know "what you've been working on", having a full history of completed tasks would be a life-saver. Please, please implement!
Agreed. Also, the new task should come with a new time budget, instead of using whatever is left from the current instance.
I agree with Pedro. Would love it if you could hurry and update it. This is a very old thread.
More simply add a check box to automatically create a new task after the recursion set, instead of changing the date.
This way all the tasks already performed remain visible and modifiable
