Reminder time of recurrent task
It is useful to add a time presetting for reminder time when task is recurrence. It would be better, that new reminder time = time presetting when task marked as completed.
As it is now, when recurrent task marked as completted, then new reminder time = old reminder time + snooze1 time + snooze2 time + snooze...

Delete button on keyboard should be able to delete tasks, categories, etc.
with a Task selected in the Task Pane, I would expect the Delete button on the keyboard would delete the task. Perhaps delete confirmation could be a default, with the ability to suppress the confirmation and delete the item as soon as the delete button is pressed. Undo would still be there for folks that have turned off confirmation yet have delete regret.

Personal Kanban view
How about different view on the tasks? The category filter is already very good. But I want a view, where I can select my tasks in process. The rest is either done or backlog.
2 votesThis is already possible: open a new task viewer (View→New viewer→Tasks) and then hide completed and inactive tasks in that viewer.

Time format change
MM/DD/YYYY is extremely confusing for me. Suggestion is to have option to change time format. (for example: DD/MM/YYYY)
1 voteThe time format is coupled to the language. Set the language to English /GB to get the European date format.

Make effort button active for inactive tasks
The toolbar effort button now is inactive if the start date is in the future or not set. If the effort button were active for inactive tasks, the user could initiate effort and if unset, the start date could be set to the date of the initial effort for that task.

Track Multiple Tasks
In our world of multitasking, it would be nice if multiple tasks could be tracked at one.
1 voteThis is already possible: start tracking the first task normally and then add an effort record to the next tasks (e.g. using the righ-click menu) and don’t fill in the stop time.

enable tracking effort on multiple tasks simultaneously/parallely
I am working on 2 projects and i'm currently focussing on 2 subtasks one from each project but for every change in focus on task, its too cumbersome to stop tracking effort and starting on the other. please allow to track more than one effort simultaneously. also i agree focussing on one task is better, but world is not so fair.
2 votesThis is already possible: start tracking task 1 normally and then select task 2 in the task viewer and using the context menu (right-click) use “New effort…” to create a new effort for task 2. Be sure not to fill in a stop time. Hit OK. Voila: tracking effort for two tasks at the same time.

Offer hotkey to clear category checkboxes (if available, add to Help file)
Along with a hotkey (keyboard shortcut) to clear (de-select) all category checkboxes, please provide keyboard shortcuts for all existing actions, settings, etc. And, finally, create a "Keyboard Shortcuts" section in the Help file. (I love your application's features & interface; I'm totally dependent upon it now.)
5 votesRelease 1.2.10 provides a keyboard shortcut to clear all filters (Shift-Ctrl-F).

Start Tracking Effort button on reminders
When I'm remembered of a task i almost forget about clicking on start tracking efforts, especially if is an off-computer task and/or an urgent one. Since the New Effort button on the task edit dialog does not work, the reminder shortcut would make it more usable

Show the group total effort time based on child tasks
It could be show in the software interface and in exporting options. It could be very helpful to compute a total time instead of adding all the subtasks effort times. Thank you for this great application!
1 voteThis is already possible: make the “total time spent” column visible.

Configurable first day of the week
Task Coach assumes that Monday is the first day of the week for the
purposes of showing "Effort per week". Our work week actually starts
Sunday & ends Saturday. It'd be nice if one could configure the first day
of the week.26 votesThis is available in release 1.3.10.

Change subtask to task and vice versa
It would be really nice if it was easy to take a new task and make it a subtask of another or elevate a subtask to the level of a task.
I couldn't figure out how this could be done
3 votesRich seems happy with the current functionality.

Export all detail to CSV or XML
I have many tasks where I have multiple "efforts" applied. I need to include detailed billing for my clients so it would be great if the export will actually export all the details. This would make it a lot easier to produce an invoice in something like excel, work, or quick books.
1 voteTask Coach exports whatever is visible in the viewer you are exporting. So make the columns visible that you want to export, sort in the order that you want to export, filter if you don’t want to export all efforts or tasks and then export.

User font presets
I use color-coding and font size to distinguish between importance of each task (e.g. blue for an idea while red for some really bad urgent things to do). Being able to create a list of font color/size presets and then quickly apply them with one click on a task would be a time saver.
Best if it was saved per-file. Would be really cool if I didn't have to open task properties window to change it (just like it is possible to change task priority)3 votesUse categories for this. Tasks use the font and colors of categories they belong to, unless they have their own font or color.

This is already possible: check the “search descriptions too” in the drop down menu of the search control on the viewer’s toolbar. Click on the magnifier glass to show that drop down menu.

Export Full Task Detail
Only a certain amount of data is exported to CSV or HTML. There is no way to export the entire task description. We need a full export.
3 votesTask Coach exports what is visible in a viewer. Make sure no filters are on and make all columns visible that you want to export.
