  4. Very often I create tasks which have the same set of subtasks, so it would be very wonderful if TaskCoach has the possibility to create something like 'task hierarchy' templates. For example, every day I create the same set tasks with subtasks:
    Task1 (new feature)
    -- subtask 1 (developing)
    -- subtask 2 (testing)
    -- subtask 3 (release)

It would save lots of time! Thanks!

  5. ...as described by Gina Trapani in https://github.com/ginatrapani/todo.txt-cli/wiki/The-Todo.txt-Format

I don't despair yet of having my Blackberry-tablet-desktop sync'ed, but I don't like much web/mail sync, neither do I need it, as I still stay home several hours a week.

  8. I'm using a methodology like gtd. And I'm planning my long time tasks as parent task. I divide this parent task to lots of short time sub tasks. I record my efforts on sub tasks and I want to see all my subtasks efforts total on their parent task.

  9. For a particular task, I would like to be able to have a total of all the effort I have expended on a task, either in the status bar or in a new column.

    Thank you for your consideration,

  10. At present, if all subtasks are completed the parent task is also marked complete. Make this behaviour optional - at present, I have to add an extra subtask 'complete' to each large project to make sure it doesn't fall off my to-do list by accident.

  11. It would be great to have an option for the new Effort rounding feature to always round UP to the nearest increment specified. Otherwise, if the time spent on an effort is less than the specified increment, it appears that no time was spent. For example, suppose I have an effort on which I spent 6 min. The results are as follows:

    Rounding Displays As
    1min 0:06
    5min 0:05
    6min 0:06
    10min 0:10
    15min (or larger) [BLANK]

But I could also see situations where a user who spent, say, 16 min. on an effort with 15min. rounding would want to…

  13. Is it possible to save somewere the expected time to complete a task and the actual time taken to do it ?
That would be great for planned tasks and to sort them by time?

  15. Could you add a feature such that when the computer is put into standby it stops tracking the current task and upon resume begins tracking the current task.

If this is troublesome then would it be possible to create cli switches with the app such that i could call taskcoach.exe -tracking start and taskcoach.exe -tracking stop. With this I can set my own conditions for tracking etc using windows task scheduler.

    Thanks

  17. 2 things that might improve compatibility with outlook:

    1. Split the CVS field for dates (eg start date) to "date" and "time" (outlook asks how to import a CVS and wants 2 separate fields)

    2. If a task has a start and a due date then presumably it can be seen as an "appointment", then label it in the icalendar file (ics) as VENENT rather than a VTODO. The due date should also be labeled as DTEND in order for this to work. VTODO is not recognised by outlook 2007 and earlier, mb even by outlook 2010 (I dont have it). I…
