  1. This will help people migrating away from Lightning.
At the moment v1.3.15 can only import CSV and text files (subject only), however it can export iCalendar.
Thuderbird/Lightning also exports ics but it's CSV import/export of tasks seems very broken!

  5. I often don't switch off my computer when going home but just switch it into the stand by mode, because it is faster. And of course I forget to stop time tracking in the TaskCoach. It would be great if TaskCoach wouldn't think that I work during my PC is in stand by mode.

  6. It would be nice if I could simply paste text into the interface and for each line of text to represent a different task. I am able to do this in tools such as ListPro

  7. The attachment isn't really an attachment, but rather a pointer to a file that lives somewhere else on my system. If I remove the file at it's "source" location, the "attachment" no longer exists. I'd like to be able to attach the file to Task Coach and let it live there so I don't have to keep the file on my desktop or in a documents folder of some sort.

  8. Если уж реализована идея взаимозависимости задач, то бесценной была бы функция, когда изменяя дату условной задачи автоматически изменяется даты и время зависимых. Можно добавить жесткости или мягкости изменения. Это резко увеличило бы кол-во пользователей.

  9. Currently one can control the fonts for Task Subject lines by type. I would like the ability to control fonts within the task Description. I use the description to store task notes that would be much easier to work with at time if I can use mono-space fonts and colors.

  10. My eyes are not so good any more. And so it's quiet exhausting to use the software. - Please make it possible to change the text for creating new tasks. - It really would be great! - Thank you very much in advance!

  11. Can we do another way how to set reminder for the task? Instead of putting specific date and time (mostly I am putting there the same like for suggested start) will be better to have there option like:

Remind - X minutes/hours/days - Before or After Planned Start / Before Due Date

And have preferred X minutes/hours/days in settings.

Then I can set it as 10 minutes before suggested start date and only enable the reminder where I need. I don't need to select date and time.

    Thanks

  15. It would be very useful if I could create a list of tags and add these tags to tasks. For example "meeting", "phone call" etc. or even "I don't like it but it's necessary". And of course possibility to filter and sort by tags. For example - get all phone calls that I have to do.

  16. You should not be able to enter a deadline before the beginning time.

Also, for delay before notice alarm, maybe simple is better: just let the user enter a number, and then a unit ( minutes, hours, day, week, months, year, etc) instead of proposing a long list of unit.

We are not going to implement too many things that block the settings. Users ought to start tasks before the due date, but Task Coach isn’t going to force them to do that.

An improved date selector (something we hope to work on eventually) will help users to make less careless mistakes with entering date.

Otherwise, you second issue is a duplicate of this:

  17. The last version really accelerate the refresh screen (Version 1.3.9 March 8, 2012)
    But:
Each time I want to create a new task or subtask, it takes about 15 seconds.
When I want to modify the dates, it still takes 10 s.
    Thank you for your work.

  18. I used Task Coach with 2 screens and I closed it with the tasks window on the second one.
Now, when I launch it with only one screen, only the main window is visible. And I cannot move the tasks window with the keyboard.
Can you add a button to bring it back onto the main window ?

  20. Hi,One of the great recent features introduced to Task Coach is the pop up option that recognises you have been inactive, giving you the option to either 1. stop time recording when you became inactive, 2. stop when inactive and start now or 3. do nothing.

Would it be possible to add another option that stops time when you became inactive and starts recording time on another task at that time.

Currently i have to stop the time recording, start a new task and then edit it to correct the start time.

We’re discussing improving the idle time notice, but we’re not going to add the specific request you wanted here.

    Here’s what to do:
after stopping the task at the inactive time, just use cntrl-E when you start your other task and choose the button “Start tracking from last stop time”
That’s pretty simple and gets exactly what you want here. It isn’t a complex edit, it is two quick actions not counting selecting which task you want.
