  1. when we double click in the task list the dialog box open on the right tab, that's good.

but it would perfect if the focus was automatically given to the right zone.
for exemple when we dbl click in the percent colums if the percent have the focus we only have to type the new value and press enter it will be shorter.

or to have the ability to modify it without opening the dialog box, which will be great to.

  2. My netbook is sleeping most of the day - I wake it up only when needed. Nevertheless, I would like it to wake up & notify me whenever there's a TaskCoach alarm. As I understand, this doesn't require a lot of work - Windows' task scheduler is able to do it, so all is needed it to create a Windows task for each scheduled TaskCoach item.
    Thanks a lot !

  5. On the viewer toolbar add buttons to increase/decrease the priority of a task. I'd use these buttons more often than most all of the existing buttons on the task viewer toolbar.

  6. In order to track the progress of a task it is quite interesting to compare the "percentage completed" (i.e. the amount of the job having been done) with the percentage of time which has already passed (i.e. the percentage of the time between "start" and "end" which is before now). The content of the column would have to be calculated automatically (i.e. no new data to be entered).

  7. If you do not opt for a single window for reminders which share the same snooze time, it would be good to snooze all reminders. Either to add an amount of time to all currently active (popped up) reminders, or to snooze all reminders.

Coming back and having to wade through all my reminders when I get stuck on a phone call or disappear for lunch isn't fun. I obviously have too many tasks due at the same time... however I feel this would help.

  9. I think your software could be used widely in countries with Jalali calendar like Iran.
Besides, I know you can arrange views in different positions but a one-click right ti left support is valuable.
another note is about handling unicode strings. I have some problems writing task with persian and english text inside.

    Your job is great :)

  11. Put a button on the tool bar which will create a new note for the selected task. I know it is possible to do by right clicking the task but a button would be more handy.

  13. In my case for instance I track my time with TC and is great, but I would find it useful to be able to convert the "Time Spent" (which is the cost of the time) to the time to be invoiced (revenue vs cost). For instance if my minimum task invoiceable time is 10min, then if I do a task in less than that time I will invoice it for the 10min anyway. This is to prevent clients from sending lot of small tasks in separate mails (which happens anyway) and to cover for the time spent converting the mail…

  14. I would appreciate possibility to attach additional task costs to a task (e.g.travelling cost, telephones,...) and specify its category - to be able to calculate the complete task cost. Standalone column for this costs in the task list would be nice too.

  15. Now its Possible to order the Task-List by Name or Description... asc and desc.
But would realy be fine, if you make it possible to order the Category- List - via drag and drop - individualy...
    For example;

    Instead:
    BugFix, Customer request, Projects, Support

Make it Possible to use own sortorder:
    Projects, Bugffix, Support, Customer

  16. For me another, not unimportant, suggest.

It would be good if the deletion of used categories could be prevented.
At this time, categories easily can be deleted, although they are used for tasks.

If someone will delete a category which is still used, for example a notice could be displayed.

So you would not unconsciously delete the category of existing tasks.

Another question would be, what happens if you will confirm deleting after seen this message.

The category will be deleted and then all affected tasks have no more categories …....
Or it could be run a query to assign…

  18. I frequently find myself creating tasks which are due in a few weeks and are made up of some arbitrary number of numbered subtasks. For example, I may have an exam in three weeks with 9 chapters to cover for review. I manually create the task tree such that each chapter sees the previous chapter as a prerequisite, and the time interval is divided evenly between subtasks.

Repeating this for each task is very time-consuming, but I do it anyway because the resulting task tree is absolutely ideal for organizing my study time. Automatic subdivision of tasks like this would…

  19. I requently add multiple tasks at once all at the same level of the outline. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but currently this is quite tedius going back to parent task to add a new subtask. I'd suggest to not change the selection when adding a new subtask so that hitting Shift-INSERT multiple times adds multiple subtasks to the same parent task.

  20. Currently in the preferences you can set the due date to automatically populate. However, I would like greater control over this. The options currently are (Today, Tomorrow, Day After Tomorrow, Next Friday, or Next Monday).

I would like to see the ability to set the due date X Days in the future. This would allow me to always allow a set number of days to complete all new tasks.
