"Budget" and "budget left" should relate to money not time
Until I tried using the "budget" and "budget left" fields I had no idea they related to time. The word budget is rarely used in the context of time and almost always in the context of money.
As there are other fields relating to money under this tab it makes it even more confusing and strange to use "budget" in relation to time, not money.
Better would be for these existing fields to be labeled "time allotted" and "time left" (or similar).
A "budget" field should relate to the money allocated for the task and "budget left" should be for…

To unlight certain tasks in the task queue, does-it possible in the preference page to set-up the unlightening of the task state categories, by adding a checkbox to valid the blinking of certain tasks?thnak you

My eyes would thank for an option to increase the font dimension of all the tasks, categories, menu, columns, icons, viewers, etc.

Exporting selected task efforts to open project
It would be a handy feature to track time with Task Coach and exporting the recorded efforts to open project.
There would be a task mapping needed and a tracking which effort was exported already.
This could also be implemented as a plugin, because this is a rather specific application.3 votes -

An option for a configurable (e.g. every x minutes) backup for tasks would be good.

E-mail field for each of the tasks
Provide an email field for each of the tasks. When its date is expiring, the system sends an alert to one or more people whose emails are listed.

Auto active, inactive, completed status of tasks with sub-items
It would be nice if the status of a task with sub-items was computed from the status of all its sub-items. The rule would be recap task status = f(status(sub-items)) where f gives 'completed' when all sub-tasks are completed, else active if at least one sub-task is active and else inactive (i.e. all non completed sub-tasks are inactive).

Let me choose how many days a week the tasks need to be done
Most of my tasks need to be done 5 times a day, which I cannot choose now how many days a week & which days.

Show multiple category icons
If you have a task with 2 categories which both have icons then only 1 icon is shown. Allow for multiple icons to be shown

Support für Nextcloud
Instead of Dropbox many people and companies nowadays use Nextcloud to share files, calendars etc. Therefore it would be a good idea if Taskcoach would support this platform.

Stop an effort when shut down the computer
I don't how you can do that but if it is possible to stop an effort when the computer shut sown it will be very comfortable.

Reminders in chart format instead of individual pop-ups.
Have pop-up reminders show in a chart format rather than individual pop-ups. This would take far less room on the screen and make it easier to move the reminder around on screens. Each had to be moved one at a time now.

Add an "Allocated to" field, to manage action plan
Using a category doesn't fullfill this requirement since there is only one column that mixes all the categories

Sync with Thunderbird-Lightening calendar ?
I save Tack coach and Thunderbird Cal-Davs in Nextcloud local folder to sync out. it would be great if I could sync a common file to Thunderbird.
I see there is already an export of iCal and ToDo files.
If there was an auto-export function, that could point to nextcloud, then it would all be possible.
I think this would also help Evolution users too.

Update the chocolately Windows package manager with version 1.4.4
If folks are not aware, there is a package manager for Windows applications called chocolatey (https://chocolatey.org). The current version from chocolatey is 1.4.2 so it would be great to update and maintain the version on that platform if possible. Thanks and keep up the great work. Glad this project didn't die!

provide a 64-bit version for macos (High Sierra and beyond)
High Sierra and Mojave will be the last versions of macos to provide 32-bit support. Future versions will require all apps to be 64-bit.
