Change subtask to task and vice versa
It would be really nice if it was easy to take a new task and make it a subtask of another or elevate a subtask to the level of a task.
I couldn't figure out how this could be done

Export Full Task Detail
Only a certain amount of data is exported to CSV or HTML. There is no way to export the entire task description. We need a full export.
3 votesTask Coach exports what is visible in a viewer. Make sure no filters are on and make all columns visible that you want to export.

User font presets
I use color-coding and font size to distinguish between importance of each task (e.g. blue for an idea while red for some really bad urgent things to do). Being able to create a list of font color/size presets and then quickly apply them with one click on a task would be a time saver.
Best if it was saved per-file. Would be really cool if I didn't have to open task properties window to change it (just like it is possible to change task priority)3 votesUse categories for this. Tasks use the font and colors of categories they belong to, unless they have their own font or color.

assign tasks to persons/divisions/
It would be very pleasant if you could assign one or more persons/divisions/organisations to a task
3 votesThat is already possible: create a categories and subcategories for departments and persons and assign tasks to the category corresponding to the person responsible for the task.

Move tasks into various categories
I would like to print out my task list excluding MAJOR completed tasks (but including sub-cat. tasks for major tasks uncompleted).
Other software allows me to create two lists (Main and Archive). When I complete a task I can move them to Archive so I don't lose them but I can actually print my activities.
3 votesSee Frank’s comment below.
Also, you can make extra categories for things like “Main” and mark that and then filter by that.
If you want to fully export tasks for archiving, see the discussion under this other request:

Enable editing of effort
I would like to be able to edit time spent on tasks. Because I have forgotten to start tracking, or stop tracking, or clicked the wrong task.
3 votesThis is already possible. Just double click an effort record in the effort viewer (open one via View→Open viewer→Effort) or use the “Add effort…” menu item to add effort records after the fact.

Adding tasktype and contacts with filter options
Is it possible to add a tasktype en contactsname when adding to ta task or subtask.
Tasktypes are:
-Telephone
-Mail
-Meeting
-Write
-Design
-Check-etc.
With an option to filter on contacts and/or tasktype you can plan your contacts what to discuss and see for the day what kind of activity (like designing) you to do list consists of.
3 votesThis is already possible using categories. Create a category for each “task type” you’d like to have. Open a category viewer to filter by category.

Default snooze time for remainder dialog
If you have many remainders it will much better, if the default "snooze time" is not "no snooze". If the default snooze time is for example 18 hours, then you can't forgot an remainder by too fast clicking on the ok button.
3 votesThis is possible in release 1.2.24.

Fix colors of task icons for colorblind users
The colored circles for almost-due and completed tasks are indistinguishable except upon very close scrutiny. I suspect other colorblind users would have similar problems. Making either (but not both) the green or amber circles a deeper, more saturated color would improve recognition. Making the circles change color with the selected text color would be another option, though probably harder to implement.
Approximately 10% of males are at least partially colorblind! Decreased ability to distinguish red and green (and oranges) due to lowered red sensitivity is one of the most common types. Colors that are desaturated or very close in brightness…
3 votesYou can now choose any icon you like from the icon list to represent each state, thus they can even be different images.

Default setting for data export
It should be possible to define a default setting for data-export. I know that every visible column is exported but in my "standard view" I don't want to have all the columns which I would like to export. Changing the view for every export is quite annoying.
3 votesYou can open multiple viewers of the same type. So, open another task viewer, put it in the right settings, rename it (using View→Rename viewer) e.g. “Tasks for export” and you’re done. You can even close the viewer after export because Task Coach remembers settings for closed viewers.

create a "next action" filter
Per GTD principles, this filter (applied to a task list view) would show the highest priority task from each project. (How you define a project is another matter. Any set of adjacent non-composite tasks?)
3 votesPlease use categories for this.

Add an "assigned to" field for those of us who assign tasks to others.
If this could be a field that is emailed as well, it would be VERY useful. While Task Coach is really designed for managing one individual's tasks, I am finding it useful to manage my direct reports, but it takes a lot of manual effort to do so the way it works now. Even so, it is still far better than doing it entirely manually.

Calculate progress of a task automatically based on subtasks progress
I would like to have an option for a task that allows its progress to be automatically calculated based on the progress of subtasks.
For this to be accomplished, it would be necessary to tells what importance (in percentage) each subtask has on the main task.
For example, let's assume I have a main task (Task1) with 2 subtasks (TaskA and TaskB). I tell the software that TaskA has 75% of importance and TaskB has 25%. When I put the progress of TaskA in 50% and 10% of TaskB, the Task1 should display 40% (50% * 75% + 10% *…

Save attachment data not only a path to it
May be save an attachment files to a special storage folder of Taskcoach.
It very usefull for Portable version, because all data should be Portable including Task-Attachements

Estimated Tasktime
I would like to be able to write for each task my estimated time it takes to fullfill the task. So when I have about an hour time I can search for task that take 60 minutes or less, and do then right away. To do --> done
3 votesYou can use the task “Budget” to enter your estimation of how long the task will take.
