  1. In the "task square map" I would like to see the total time for each "task folder" (those that have subtasks), so I can quickly have an idea of the total time I spent on a project. Moreover, it would be great if the name of the "folder" would always be visible.

  2. It would be very neat to see Task Coach support Evidence Based Scheduling. Evidence Based Scheduling would allow users to improve their ability to estimate when a task would get done.

See the following for an excellent description with graphs.

  3. To keep the number of subtask down i often want to delete minor tasks/todo items, but keep the effort. I would be nice if deletion of subtasks could move efforts to the parent-task. so total time consuming was stil keept.

  4. When I add an effort in a subtask, the parent task shows up in Effort per day/week/month viewers, cluttering the effort list.

  5. if i type "date with Lisa at tomorrow 18:00 @park", it will add a new task, and the task categories will be @park, this feature can make task coach more smart, and easier usage.

  9. It would be great to have a desktop widget for example für screenlets (is also written in python).
So a short look on the desktop shows me my agenda.
Maybe there is an pendant to screenlets for windows.
    Thx

  10. it is important to see also the open expected outstanding amount to receive for the projects.
Therefore the budget calculation for the amount should be implemented.
    budget h * h-ratio = budget amount
    outstanding h * h-ratio = outstanding budget amount

  11. since you use task coach to track the time in other applications, task coach keyboard shortcuts are useless (to me).
Is there a way to set a global keyboard shortcut available on the whole OS that triggers start/stop tracking effort while using other applications? Same thing as winamp, for example: I use WIN+right arrow to skip to next track or WIN+ left arrow to skip to previous track. This is user definable.
Cheers and good job! I like task coach!

  13. I often use tasks which have relationships to one or more other tasks. Therefore a sort of "reference" would be very helpful. Using categories is often to global and you've to skim over all the tasks again.

  14. When something to do gets into my mind, i most of the time just want to quickly name it and put in an "In-Box". So, I suggest TaskCoach would allow me define a folder as default, so that prior to organization, all tasks would be automatically stored there. This method is simple and helpful and, if automated, would make TaskCoach a very effective program.

  16. When the main window is showing, you can interact with it (I think) by clicking on the taskbar icon or the notification area icon. This seems redundant. It would be nice (in my opinion) to optionally allow the user (Preferences->Window Behavior) to prevent the taskbar icon from showing up at all.

  17. Some tasks have fixed length independent of when they started. So if a prerequisite completes late, the deadline must automatically shift (think of getting a baby).
Being able to enter task duration in working days would really improve the benefit of templates and other multistep activities.

    Short form:
    1. task duration in working days.
    2. shift due dates based on completion of prerequisites

    Thanks a lot!

  18. I use the description field for notes, comments and so on. But I cannot print this directly. Instead I have to copy and past it into Notepad++ to print this.
Please change this and make the description field printable.
    Thank you

  19. I think it would be a useful idea to give the ability to group by priority. You don't always start at the top of the list and work your way through. The current version it can be difficult to clearly see where one gorup of priorities start and finish

  20. If I could get an email sent every night to my email address with (configurable) x days "todo's" that would mean that if I am away from the office for a couple of days at least I get reminders. And the email might reinforce the "urgency" of getting todats tasks finished.
